I heard about Holland draining some of the sea and building artificial land some time before, but I'm not sure if they still do it. Something I was told about in Geography back in senior school.
I think they're taking care of more important tings for now. They want to first finish the dams and then they'll continue the project. That's what i've heard?

Yes. Places in the UK like Southend On Sea and Peterborough are at high risk right now.

So what can we do about that?

Well the government are considering setting up a managed defence scheme (I think that's what it is called) whereby groynes, large rocks, gabions, sea walls etc will be built around every coast that has cliffs, within a couple of miles from residential areas. If you really wanted to know.

Personally I don't think anything should be done as such stuff will cost millions of pounds. Just let nature take its course, I say.

Agreed. But this is a mess we've created ourselves. So i think we should clean up our mess too.

If God exists, would He let this all happen?

Have you read Lord of the Rings ? The white man says "I will be back when you need me most". i think Tolkien wanted to say that it would be the same with God.

If everyone was happy and joyful all the time we would never appreciate life...

The fact that we do get upset and angry UPLIFTS the feeling of happiness.

I don't know what this has to do with anything though.

Actually I think protestantism was created because some king wanted a divorce.

My history knowledge is very rusty since I didn't take it as a GCSE, but I think that king was probably Henry VIII, who was a true lovaboy back in them days. Every Brit should remember this thing though about his 6 wives = Divorced, Beheaded, Died; Divorced, Beheaded, Survived. :P

No. It was created because the catholic church was selling places in heaven. Which, by the protestants was completely wrong.
