When it comes to work I'm still doing that cleaning job and I got fired from the zero hour shop stock one I had before, but my other half is still freelance animating and working in the cinema so that's how we're keeping that boat afloat.

I hope it's not too much hassle juggling between the different gigs!

Some people like living there, but for most, the main reason is that all the good jobs are there.

At least London’s a nice place, despite the prices.

And what about other cities in France? Are they that expensive too?

I used to live in Southwark, now I live in West Kent.

Biggest town in west Kent besides Maidstone I believe. And one of only 4 “royal” towns.

What’s a “royal” town

A town that the monarchy decided was historically posh enough to be considered royal, I reckon.

When we left the part of London and Essex we used to live we went for near Nottingham because at the time we were able to rent a 4 bedroom house for the same sort of price renting a studio would be in East London, though central Nottingham is getting pricier. It takes about an hour by bus now but I'm still glad we decided to branch further out and buy there rather than keep renting.

So there's something posh for the posh! Wow, that must be the poshiest thing ever xDDDD

My town is really posh, I must say! I believe it’s the richest town in Kent, and one of the safest. And don’t even get me started on the villages.

God what must it sound like speaking to northern yokel like me then, I wonder xD

I don’t often see many northerners down here, but we do actually have lots of people from Nigeria and Hong Kong in my neighbourhood.

I’m wondering if you guys are Brit’s whether northerners really like their fish and chips with curry sauce?
