So it's less a pining for a stretched image, and moreso a hatred of unused monitor space? Well isn't that just even more silly, you spacewhore.

I play games terribly bad if there is unused monitor space

I never had a problem with black bars, and I speak from myself who plays in a 5:4 display, but when the 16:9 is available in my games for home consoles I play in widescreen since my TV is a 16:9. As simple as this, because I always disliked unproportional images.

Hmm, personally, I'll stretch if it's not too noticeable, but I prefer to play in proper proportions. For instance, that whole resolution thing I did with Rayman 2 I reversed because I didn't like the stretching.

I'm actually the opposite. Viewing the wrong aspect ratio, especially in 2D games, causes me to often miss jumps and the like, as my sense of distance is hampered by the bastardized version of the original image.

Yesterday before my Digital Drawing I class my teacher asked me when I'm continuing the Rayman videos since he was worried to not see any novelty

(Yes, he is a YouTuber and equally a player that played Rayman 1 many years ago and still plays Rayman titles, at least he played Origins and he plans to get Legends since I recommended).
As I said, May will bring novelties, but the fact that the first videos are already done, they are.

Not even I am insane enough to do something like that.
Also, I find it irritating that you often name things that are clearly nothing more than personal preference as cold, hard facts, such as when you say stretching is "superior" to letterboxing, even though that's personal preference at its very core, as if your perspective is the only one that exists. Meh, I suppose pretty much everyone does that, including me, does that, but still...

Heh, I was joking when I said best option. Of course that is opinion based but like you said, pretty much everyone say stuff that way.

Off topic question to Ad: Did you draw that signature?

On the left, that's one of Gwee's concept arts of Ly for Revenge of the Dark; I wish I could draw like that! Then the backgrounds are edited screenshots from one of the in-game environments. I moronically forgot to add her name into the bottom of the signature to... signify that, heheh, but I'll do so tomorrow after I wake up.
