Infinity isn't even a value, it's just a word that describes the endless continuation of something. I still don't see how it, being multiplied with zero (hence nothing), can possibly equal a whole number.

If you get another BSoD, write down the error code. It is very important.

It disappears within only a few seconds, though. But the "Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown" thing that comes up whenever I restart after a Bluescreen has some details about it. I will try and write it down...

There is a way to keep it from doing that.

Are you using windows XP or Windows Vista?

Vista's not a bad operating system. I actually like it better than XP, and it does run better than XP on my systems... now... *turns on desktop computer*

Click the start button  right click computer  click properties  on the left, under tasks, click advanced system settings  User Account Control will ask you to continue, click continue  Under start up and recovery click settings  under system failure uncheck automatically restart then click okay, and okay again. Reboot your computer so this setting is saved.

So next time, when you get a Blue Screen of Death, it will NOT automatically reboot, this will allow you to write down the error code or take a picture with a digital camera (with flash off) to get the error codes. Once then, you must manually reboot your computer by holding the power button for a few seconds and turning it back on or the reboot button. (Some PCs have reboot buttons on the tower, some do not.)

Once you be able to get the error codes and messages, post it here or PM me and I will help you to try to solve your issue.

I hate Vista. I'm using XP as long as I can while I still need Windows for my work. Ugly, unreliable, incompatible with a lot of stuff I need, and just plain bad. The only worse Windows OS I can think of is Windows ME, which had abysmal quality for an operating system. I'd love to just use Mac OS X, though unfortunately I can't do that.

I also use Window's XP, I won't care for Vista. Also, Macs frustrate me a little, since I'm not used to their format, hahaha. I would LOL so hard if I was given the best mac ever. xDDDDD

I would just install Windows XP on a Mac, though I'll be doing some intense graphics work, and emulating the Windows desktop wouldn't be very efficient with that kind of work.

I see it as Livejournal lite. I have to use Internet Explorer though if I want to add anyone to my list.

I love Vista. All my games are totally compatible, it runs very fast, out performs windows XP, it's by far more reliable than XP, and everything I used works on it!

Rayman 2 and Arena won't work on my desktop because it is using the 64-bit version if Vista, however 32-bit vista works perfectly with those games and others.

Wait until Windows 7 arrives, that will kick XP and Vista's asses. Windows 7 out performs windows XP and Vista. Run all three of those on a Pentium 4 PC, and Windows 7 runs better out of the three!

Vista runs well on my older PC, and it's only got 1GB RAM and a 2.2GHz AMD Athlon XP. I had some problems with XP on that machine, while Vista runs well.

When I upgrade the harddrive in my laptop, I'm going to put Vista on it... unless I decide to wait for Windows 7. :mryellow:
