Back on topic, I have some more things to share with you guys about the Rayman Legends Demo. First, for those who don't want to buy the expensive Wii U Pro controller to play co-op with, a regular Wii Classic Controller will work just like in 'Origins. I also presumed that in five-player co-op play, the fifth Gamepad player would be forced to play as Murphy, this is not the case, In levels where Murphy is optional, like Toad Story and Castle Rock the player can toggle between a platforming character or Murphy at any point in the stage.

As in, a regular Wii's controller, or a regular Wii U controller? It would be pretty nice of them to include cross-platform support for the old controllers. I'd definitely dig that.

Oh that's pretty cool. So does the fifth player play with the game pad and then quickly switch, causing the character to be taken over by an AI, or does the fifth character transform into Murfy, disappearing from the stage completely (for the time being) and vice versa?

The original Wii remote, you can plug your Wii classic controller into the remote to play with as an alternative to the new Wii U pro controller, the successor to the classic controller. And the fifth player transforms into Murphy, thus taking his/her platforing character off the screen, allowing them to play as Murphy. Is that clearly explained enough?

I prefer the classic pro controller over the new wii u pro controller. Seriously...
$19:
$50:
Only difference: The first one has to be connected to the wii remote, the second one has a rechargeable battery with 80 hours life.
I have no problem with the classic pro... it feels even more confortable, and my wii remote controllers use their own rechargeable batteries, sooo....

Just a note, the controllers correspondent prices in Euros in Europe is 24,99€ for the Wii and 49,99€ for the Wii U one.

I've never seen the point in those pro controllers, what's wrong with the Wii controller? Especially with the Wii U gamepad, which is very comfortable.

Hey Shrooblord, I noticed that you too have adopted the compact-quoting format.

What the hell do you
think is wrong with a sideways Wii controller?
Keane wrote:Especially with the Wii U gamepad, which is very comfortable.
Have you ever considered the fact that maybe, just maybe, because of the touch screen and all, they're a little more expansive to produce?

I've been doing that for a long time, actually. I think it was spiraldoor who showed me the use of that first...
I would say that a normal game controller is better than a Wii controller sideways, but the sheer stupidity and hilarity of it makes me like the sideways failed lightsabre hilt more.

Try to play Rayman Origins with horizontal Wii Remote.

Seriously, I do prefer to play RO with the Pro Classic Controller. Its simply terrible to use the sprint button with the B in horizontal mode, especially in Time Attacks and levels that require sprinting and quick reflexes.

Playing Mario Kart with just the Wii-mote is rather difficult for me, I usually play with 'Mote and Nunchuck.

If you're talking about Mario Kart Wii, I always used the Wii Wheel with it.
With Mario Kart 64 I also use my Wii Pro Classic Controller. I also use it to play Super Mario All-Stars and Paper Mario.

Speaking of All-Stars, I didn't like how Nintendo essentially rereleased that for Mario's 25th, it seemed rather lacklustre.

Ugh... Nintendo really got lazy to just splatter the normal Mario All-Stars game for the snes (which I actually do own boxed, I showed it to Adsolution on skype

) onto the wii, with few more features, but oh well.

Must be just me then. I beat Origins just fine with the sideways Wii controller.

With Donkey Kong Country I did use the nunchuck, though... didn't work with that game.

And you honestly prefer using a sideways Wiimote over a gamepad?
