I finally finished recording Allegro Presto. It went better then I thought. It seems I am getting a little better in Rayman 1. Just a little better

Save your optimism for Picture City, that's where the game gets sadistic.

You said it all. I think the part just before Space Mama in Space Mama's Crater is the top challenge.

I honestly never had much trouble in picture city :/
Ehh, I've mostly been playing Morrowind, created a Khajiit thief, and although I haven't touched the main quest beyond delivering the package to Caius, he's the character I've made the most progress with in the game, being level 13, almost 14, and having a ton of gold. I'm mostly doing the thieves guild quests, and some side-quests for NPC's.

I saw, is it just the core game, or do you have a special edition that includes the expansion packs?

What a coincidence, I've been playing Morrowind (Game of the Year edition) a lot lately. I'm currently halfway the Bloodmoon expansion. I've also pretty much done everything in the main game and the Tribunal expansion over the past year, which is insane.
In my opinion, Morrowind is way better than Oblivion and Skyrim. The atmosphere is special/alien/awesome and the world just feels a lot less generic. The lore is a lot better, too.
I'm playing it on Xbox 360 though. The backward compatibility (it's for the first Xbox) is so-so and to top it off the disc is pretty damaged. I didn't have any problems at first but now the game crashes every few "loading area" screens - and it has a lot of those. :/
Trying to finish it before I go back to do the Skyrim expansions though, as the last Skyrim expansion takes place on the same island as Bloodmoon.
Also, damn those cliff racers to hell!

Hmm, maybe I should give Morrowind a try in the future, I've only played Skyrim, and I did enjoy it immensely.

I'd forgotten how much I love this.

Hm, we've discussed this before, haven't we?
(Though, why have you posted it here? Shouldn't it be in the Rayman 1 thread?)

Maybe Spiral has been playing the Saturn version now that it is playable in the emulator?
Something I enjoy in the Saturn version is the space background right before Space Mama's final battle, I think it is a more coherent approach to the battlestage.

I forgotten how the Space Mama boss had parallax scrolling as a background (like the Japanese version of Phantasy Star 3 has).

Well, why not?
I've already said before that I too enjoyed this change, though some of the background changes in the Saturn version were rather odd, this is one that actually worked rather well, it certainly gave a greater atmosphere and build up to the Space Mama boss.

I own the game of the year edition, I bought it on steam about a month ago.

I've yet to play Oblivion and Skyrim, but I am enjoying Morrowind. I gave Arena and Daggerfall a try too, seeing as bethesda released them as freeware a few years ago, Arena's aged horribly, but I do find Daggerfall quite enjoyable.

I second that!

I know that many Rayman 1 versions have different backgrounds and stuff. I wonder if Rayman 1 is ever going to have remake and what backgrounds would they use for what parts of the game.

The talk of Space Mama's Crater just reminded me of the Saturn version. I didn't even know they'd gotten it working in an emulator.

About a week or two ago, OldClassicGamer got it working after a very minimal amount of fiddling. It just goes to show how little people have actually tried in the past.

Yep, OCG found a way to make it playable. A good news since very few people in the forum had the chance of playing it.

The problem was unstable emulator and bad isos of game on internet.
SSF has strange thing. Some games that work in older versions of emulator do not work with new one. Croc and Rayman for example.

I really need to play Rayman 1 some more to get further than I am now.

Have no fear, Hoodcom, it took me ten years to beat it, but it was worth it, take as long as you desire.
