Is it the bad guy? I don't have a problem with it if it's the bad guy.

Well that's a given. But there's a price that has to be payed in order for him to no longer be.

I wonder if I remember who that might be, tho.

You can't threaten to quit yet! You haven't even gone on strike before.

Ooooh dear!

A bit of dramatic twist is good in a story, though. It'll be fun to see how this all evolves.

I hope it'll be fun! It also 'subliminally' sets up the Rayman production that I'll be working on after ROTD.

Already got sequels lined up? That's quite ambitious. You go, girl!

Hey hey now, it's quite ambitious to call it a sequel!

Don't think too far ahead. I do that all the time with the book and I and up stuck on one chapter.

Thinking ahead when you're writing is your best friend, sometimes. I wrote an entire story having only the ending vividly in my mind. This enabled me to work towards that ending right up from the beginning. Every little aspect of the story built and built and escalated until it all came together in one single paragraph. That felt like a beautiful moment and I'm glad I was able to pull it off. You don't need to be afraid of thinking ahead - it's usually easier to work towards something than just thinking up stuff on the spot. The latter can result in continuity errors, but it is also very fun to do. There's two sides to everything in writing.

I don't see how you could have done that. I'm not saying I'm afraid of thinking ahead, I have thought about future chapters many times. I have many plans for them, but I focus on them more than what is happening currently, which is what I should be thinking about. Could I send you the chapter and you give me some advice regarding what you think should happen next?

Yes, we could try that. There's no guarantees I can help; I was writing that story so long, I started to 'live in it', if you get the metaphore (which doesn't imply I went mad and imagined the real world was actually what went on in that story - if you think that, you completely missed the metaphore). However, I probably can still relate to Raymanesque scenarios, since I'm writing my own game as well and I've been into the Rayman universe ever since I was quite young. Like I said, send it over and we'll see what we can come up with together.

Thinking ahead is definitely a good idea and there's nothing wrong with it. It keeps me going. I even have a third game idea for something even after the project after ROTD. These are just concepts remember, they are not making me lose interest in the current project, they are strengthening it.

I guess I can see why you're never on anymore. Damn Rayfan, you hard working Canadian.

Coming up with ideas ≠ time consuming hard work, but I am working on a lot of stuff nonetheless, both ROTD related and not. I actually just spent all day driving along a rugged logging road in the mountains, which was then followed by my first time driving on the highway, so I have a lot of things filling up my time.

Am I allowed to take a guess on who's gonna die in the end?

Hey Rayfan, about the problem of the similar music again: ever heard of a "Jimmy Hart Version" of a song? It is an original song that is suspiciously similar to a well known song, but it can be used without having to worry about paying rights, because it is not the EXACT same, y' know?
Here is a TV Tropes article about it:
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/M ... artVersion
So, maybe you don't have to change "Fun in the Snow" at all
EDIT:
Well, I finally got around to listening to the latest soundtrack part and, since most of the tracks are rather ambient, I don't have much to say about it (though "First Dawn" stood out!). However, when I came by "A Crack in the Floe", it struck me that it is basically "Don't Forget Us" without vocals! Does this area have any story connections to the Temporal Palace then?
Oh, and I can't help it, but the beginning of "Up She Goes!" makes me think of Goron City from Zelda: Ocarina of Time every single time I hear it
