If used properly, it can be used to apply a sarcastic touch to a post, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it represents sarcasm every time it's used.

should only be used to express obvious sarcasm like: "You're so intelligent, Crap
"
is used to express a more dry kind of sarcasm, if you know what I mean.
