I always pick games which sound just better, sometimes i don't even look at the version exclusives.
Example: Red/Blue = Red, Gold/Silver = Silver, Sapphire/Ruby = Ruby, Diamond/Pearl = Diamond.
But for the first time ever, i'm going to pick White instead of Black, just for Zekrom.

It's good that the cool legendary is the Black one, not the White one, as I always choose the first of the pair (Red, not Blue; Gold, not Silver etc) because they seem to be the 'correct' versions to me; playing a game called 'Blue' in which you are officially named 'Red' and your rival is named 'Blue' just bugs me for some reason.

You'll notice Zekrom is actually the mascot of white, and Reshiram black.
How gimmicky and illogical of them. Consider me mildly enraged. I think I'll wait for Pokémon Grey now.

Serebii says the differences between the versions are more than just version exclusive pokémon, so I don't know which version I'll choose.

You guys know about Effort Value training, right?
This is what happened when I was EV training my special event Pichu, and he leveled up.

Well you obviously beat up a shitload of blisseys and gravelers or something along those lines. Why you would train a Pichu in HP and Defense (or at all) is beyond me though.

It had jolly nature. Special attack is out of option. So I decided to train it in attack
Now it's lvl 66, very strong too.

Wait attack? It looks like you're getting the wrong stats if you're supposed to be training for attack. What are you battling against?

You don't really seem to get it. I was training it in Defense, HP, AND attack. The picture was during the training, not after.
Jolly nature buffs speed, but reduces special attack. That's why I aim for normal attack. I'm not teaching it special attacks. Just physicals. The event pichu ONLY came in jolly natures. It also came with Volt tackle. Recoil damage sucks though, so I taught it thunderpunch instead.
But it doesn't matter, cause I'm not using him anymore nowadays. And, just to clarify, I also already evolved it into a Raichu.

lol
I don't think it's possible to make an entirely flawless pokémon.
btw I don't see how pokémon could survive a Flamethrower or a Thunder or a Hyper Beam, and just faint.. Do they just die from old age? I don't get it.

Some theories go that pokemon just can handle more than humans do. Then again, Ash has undergone +10.000 volts a million time and never had even a sign of a heart attack.
In other words everyone in pokemon is immortal. lol
...by the way, that would also explain why Ash hasn't grown any older in the past 11 years.
