Alright, I haven't been on the server for months now. (around the time when Raylex got the mansion's idea)
I'm planning to join you guys again, but I'm having my first exams this week.
So that would mean I'd join around the release of Skyward Sword, which is a problem because I'd rather play that than waste my time making a huge mansion.
But then again, I think my mansion would be done in 2-3 days.
Also, I'm looking forward to see how the server has progressed since I left, and YES, that IS a fine looking ship!

I hope TheShadowCave will do a ship guide after the Modern House series is over.

I have "Too Many Items", maybe I should start building something? Nah, too busy beating all the challenges on Skyblock Survival. Oh also, my Skyblock has expanded ALOT since last time you saw it! I added a Mob Spawner, with a Mob grinder underneath it, I added a 3-block deep lake/pool for Fish to spawn in, I have a flourishing farm, a good tree growing area, and I'm about to actually build a house. (Yep, haven't done that yet.)
Oh I also might be starting a Minecraft fan-Fic soon.

Who wants to see the progress I've made from last time you saw my Skyblock!?! Alrighty-oh! here it is:

We start off at the stairs that lead to the top-side, but first, we will explore the areas below my house and farming area.

as we make our way around the stairs, you see a few chests. That is because this is my (Unfinished) storage area.

As we move to the right of our storage area and continue out into the open, we reach my 3-block deep Fishing Pool. It has a neat little bridge too!

Continuing forth-with, we reached the intimidating entrance to my Mob Grinder. Under those very stairs is where I receive my items from the countless prey my 1-bucket-full multi-purpose lava devours.

Spanning out a bit to the left of my Mob grinder, is where my Multi-Purpose-1-Bucket-Full of Lava becomes Multi-purposeful. The Cobblestone Generator it is called, for those who've never made one.

To the right of my Cobblestone generator, there are stairs leading to the top-side of my Skyblock. Here we see the long tube extending from my Mob Spawner, all the way down to my Mob grinder.

If you put it in reverse and back it up, my Tree Harvesting Area will come into view.

Then, if you turn around, you will see my Infinite Water Source, for all your watery needs! (Just don't taint it, if you catch my drift.)

Ah, the only thing that keeps me alive, on those deadly days were I venture to far from the Skyblock, and night falls. Crops, you never know when you'll need them!
Now I'll give you two novelties:

The first, depicts my stubbornness of refusing to give up on day-dreaming. This is inside my wooden house, which I forgot to take a photo of, but you can see bits of it in the corners of the last two pictures.

And here we have my startling encounter with a Spider-Jockey in the drop-zone of my earliest version of a Mob Trap.

Well, I guess I could show show some pictures from our server. The idea with the merging with the RPC server is kinda dead now, as we're preparing it for a MCforums release. Note that all these structures are built with cheating. We've got some legit stuff on here, too. So, pics right below:

A small town we have spent some time on. We tried giving it a Venice-ish style.

A chapel/church structure we built. Apple window inspired from Yogscast

The ceiling of a room with portals going to different parts of the main world.
Might post some more. My internet was too laggy to go on the server, and I could only find these on my comp.
EDIT:

Found one more! This is a town hall-ish structure for our spawn town.

Sunday i'm going to my friend, and if we can get Minecraft 1.8 working I will consider paying for the game, but will it work after 1.9? I would like to add my work to the server.

I can't join, since my MC version is 1.9 pre release 5.
And I don't feel like copying my entire minecraft folder and download it all over again.

Ah speaking of minecraft It seems fixing the computer myself instead of paying a computershop fixed all the problems I had that the shop apperently "can't fix"
Redownloaded MC just now to see if it would run without any problems and it seems to be working good (I got past the login screen without an error note poping up lol)

2) Build a house. (Check)
3) Expand the island. (Check)
4) Make a melon farm. (Check)
5) Make a pumpkin farm. (Check)
6) Make a reed farm. (Check)
7) Make a wheat farm. (Check)

Make a giant red mushroom.
9) Build a bed. (Check)
10) Make 40 stone brick's.
11) Make atleast 20 torches. (Check)
12) Make an infinite water source. (Check)
13) Build a furnace. (Check)
14) Make a small lake. (Check)
15) Make a platform 24 blocks away from the island, for mobs to spawn. (Check)
16) Make 10 cactus green dye.
17) Make 10 mushroom stew.
18) Make 10 Jack 'o' lanterns. (Check)
19) Build 10 bookcases.
20) Make 10 bread. (Check)
21) Collect 10 Ender-pearls.
22) Cook 10 fish. (Check)

31) Craft 10 Orange Wool.
32) Craft 10 Snow Golems. (1.9 Pre Release only, it does not snow if you play on 1.

33) Craft 20 Paintings.
The wool takes up the most space in that checklist, making it look a long way away, but I have enough string to craft 90 blocks of wool already.

I've never seen a game that has more problems, lag, bugs, and irritating stuff that interrupts your game then Minecraft. It's a waste of time.

I should have said "The problems I had before I fixed my computer"

It used to lag like shit after playing it for about 30 mins back then, and my god when it rained. And when I tried downloading and playing it, it was like I downgraded my processer to a Patato.
This was all when my computer would restart itself when I turned it off too.

If I put my game on far, all animations on, bobbing on, and it rains while turning night, you might as well rip the hair out of your ass because it's still more entertaining then watching a new frame appear every 10 seconds.

Ahh don't remind me,

I still haven't gotten the chance to see how much it lags when it rains on my "New and inporved lol" PC. Its really nice that 1.8 has added more options to make Minecraft run better for some users.
On a side note, turning around to see a sheep staring directly at me with its derp face after pushing a bunch of other sheep into a dicth for a farm isin't my idea of fun.
