Hm, essentially, it doesn't try to act dark in a ruff n tuff, manly way. But dark in a more edgy, thought provoking and emotional way.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
It's brilliant really. This is the best that's come out of the anime in years.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Indeed, and all they needed to do was make a more faithful adaptation, interesting, hm?
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
The anime's become a bit lifeless. It's just the same cycle over and over because new generations of kids keep getting introduced to it.

Yeah, I drifted away from it years ago, though I have a young relative who became hooked by Pokemon thanks to me and my bro, though it was the game, the anime he discovered by himself.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Again, I will highly recommend the Pokémon manga if you like the looks of Pokémon: The Origin.
I haven't read much of it, but it's awesome from what I read. Also has some good tongue-in-cheek humour at times.
My friend also told me that there is a part in the manga where Blue's Scyther (sp?) cuts the head off another Pokémon, and that Pokémon's lifeless body just falls to the ground, completely limp.

I was only aware of one, that's just a long ongoing series.
The main one that stars Red, really. And has Blue and Green in it.

I'm spotting Luigi and Toon Link in your signature. Looks like the new Smash will allow me to continue with my favourites.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I'm assuming Meta Knight won't be coming in, or, if he does, he'll be a little less overpowered.
I wanna see King Dedede again, his theme is one of the catchiest yet pretty darn epic themes Ninty has ever put out.

There are two Mangas.sonicbrawler182 wrote:I was only aware of one, that's just a long ongoing series.

There is also censorship:

I only want Dedede back if his big day dance comes back with him.

Meta Knight will come back because Sakurai.Master wrote:I'm assuming Meta Knight won't be coming in, or, if he does, he'll be a little less overpowered.

And I think I'm the only person who doesn't understand why Meta Knight is considered over powered. Never had any trouble with him, and never felt like I was under a particular advantage when using him (and I did play as him a lot).
The tier lists for Smash Bros are extremely flawed anyway. Heck, most tier lists in general are.

Meh, I don't really understand it meself, though I heard he was banned from a tourney at one point.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Why even make a roster when all the characters are inferior to weegee?

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Hm, on the topic of Smash Bros, I'd love it if Kirby's stage was the Other Dimension where the Magolor Soul boss fight took place.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
All characters from Brawl should be in new Smash Bros plus new ones. Also Melee exclusive characters should return.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Nah, what Brawl did was take out all the clones and not that interesting characters to make room for new ones. Likely Smash U & 3DS will take a bunch of Brawl characters as well as all the ones from Melee that made it into that game. Thinking about that the new Smash may finally have a full roster without any clones. Although there's Toon Link, but he's quite a fan favourite.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Toon Link is so popular because Link is just TOO heavy and bulky otherwise. You are supposed to play both characters defensively, but with regular Link, even that is a flawed way to play because of his lack of speed and agility making it too difficult to effectively position yourself around the stage. There is also the fact they want to promote Wind Waker HD.Keane wrote:Nah, what Brawl did was take out all the clones and not that interesting characters to make room for new ones. And I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Sakurai has already stated that this game may potentially have a slightly smaller roster than Brawl did, due to the limitations of the 3DS. One specific example he gave is that the Ice Climbers are proving a challenge to implement because of the fact they are a tag team, and not just one player model. Somehow, the 3DS's hardware is making that an issue. They haven't been cut though, as of yet, it's just been stated that trying to get them to work on 3DS has been awkward.
Although I'm mega-excited for this game, I have a fair few criticisms of this multiplatform model they're using.
As for Smash tier lists, they are mainly based on the performances of recognised tournament players, more so than on the actual strengths and weaknesses of the characters.
For the most part, I found Brawl quite balanced.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Why not make 3DS version with less characters but put bunch of them on Wii U?
