If that's the case I think I'd loose some respect for Nintendo...
Anyway Hypehype. I'm not as enthusiastic as I was for RO
No panic attacks for me this time lol but its great that Rayman Legends was in the making after all. Not much to say about it so far but we'll see how Legends turns out.

I'm a nintendo fag, I don't see the problem with that... I mean, I enjoy simple games, I'm not into the "hardcore stuff", and yes, I'm gonna buy the Wii U, not because of it's power; I'm buying because I grew up with nintendo and I still like it. Let's get on-topic again before anyone starts to insult me for not being normal
RayFan9876 wrote:I get the feeling that many people misinterpreted what those figures do. They obviously aren't how you "select characters," because take note that none of them did that, they just activated events. Maybe Ezio appears and uses arrow storm (which kills everyone of screen) or something of the sort. It would almost be pathetic if they made Ezio a playable character, because this is supposed to be a time where Rayman is trying to gain his independence again.
Uhm, maybe, though the Rabbid's feature looks more like an independent level than an "event". We don't have enough information... I don't even know what's the point of the heart and it's rain of hearts, is that supposed to make the game easier? why? And why would we need "helpers"? the point is to beat the challenge ourselves, not with the help of random ubisoft characters. I prefer him to be playable than just a stupid helper, at least it would attract more people to rayman's franchise. Turning him into a helper for 5 seconds would me an unintelligent move, I wouldn't pay 10 dollars for something like that.
Suddenly, I'm starting to doubt on buying any of those toys

No need to thank me you guys I know.
Just don't punch me in my face for crossing Rayman with Touhou

It's wishful thinking, at the moment, the Wii U only supports one tablet controller, other player would have to play with normal wii controllers, as the trailer did show, it's not indicative of a wii version whatsoever, and with the Wii U seemingly in priority here, I doubt the Wii will see a release of Rayman Legends.

I agree with their loss of magic as well, it's as if they have no idea what they're going for anymore, and they've hardly tried anything new. I really think the only thing that is keeping them going as of now is the Zelda franchise, because that's the only of their icons that actually has a story. Mario's fantastic and all, but I think they need to bring "more" with it. I can't really picture anything good after Super Mario Galaxy if they continue with the same style.
You know what? They may have revolutionary gaming and console ideas, but their games need to be revolutionary as well, and, I'm sorry to say, they haven't taken that step beyond in a long, long time. It's probably because the things Nintendo were good at were the 90's videogame style. In the modern day, they just don't have what it takes to make good use of what they have.

Well, we can tell that from the approach they gave to online with the Wii... Friend codes, size limits of the Wii Shop, and various other bits and bobs here and there.
I have a confession, though. Back in 2006 I wanted a new console (not that my fantastical PS2 was getting boring or anything, I still play it to this day as a matter of fact) and because it was cheaper (and from a 9-year-old's perspective, a Waggle Stick Machine is the best thing since sliced bread), I got a Wii and went over to Nintendo for a short amount of time because we didn't have enough money to get one of them shiny PS3s (That and I hadn't discovered Steam at that point), so I was stuck with Nintendo up until the start of 2011, when the heavens opened and showed me the advantages of PC gaming. I still got a PS3 though, I'm like, a major Sony fanboy I must admit.

Nintendo seems to have finally learnt their lesson with online gaming, having made a dedicated service known as "Nintendo Network" but I think it's too much too late, Sony and Microsoft have had dedicated services for years.
Though, it seems console gaming is on the decline anyway, what with all the casual gamers being taken with the apps of the iphone, android and other like systems.

The thing with the toys seems too much of a Skylanders-ish turn. Any franchise is above something like that.
But I can imagine that slapping some Rabbids around will be therapeutic for some.
That is all I have to say for now. I thought I had something else, but if I did, it's gone.

Ok,I'm one of those who like console not for powerfulness, but for the core games.I love Mario Kart, for example. But I don't think I'll get a Wii U then.I have a Wii and I don't wanna have again a console everyone laughs at because it has bad graphics.Anyway I'll see, because I don't like PS now because they have no platformers, and same for XBox.I think only one I'll like will be Wii U again.
Now,I really really hope Ezio is not a playable chatacter.I don't see the point of transforming a Rayman game into Super Smash Bros. Ubisoft.I sincerely hope there are no other franchises' characters in the final product.Only one I could stand would be Rabbids becuase they are somehow connected to Rayman still.

This is proof right here that that person I was trying to argue against yesterday on YouTube was wrong with their statement. I too buy a console now sheerly for the amount of games and enjoyment I could get out of playing said games.

Regarding the trailer, the rabbid thing was a mixed bag for me but in the end it's okay.
I honestly expected this to be a 'Take that', as in the Rabbid would do nothing and the guy would just fuck away the figure and play the game. It would be a nice 'Nope, no fucking Rabbids here, move the fuck along bitches' moment. But no.
But THEN yes. The level actually seems really good. I like it. I want to kill all the damn bunnies. The figure idea is good, as long as they don't overuse it. And the best way I like is that the character figures only unlock the franchise's levels.
I like the heart thingy, I mean the feature seems pointless, but the ''figurine'' so to speak, is really cute. I will invest in it just to have it.
I feel much better about this game. Still I have mixed feelings but it is now a biiiiit better than average. We'll see.
The Viking character isn't a problem for me, I like this, but I hope for Ly being playable and Razorbeard coming back, though I don't know how they would do that.
You know what would be pretty nice? If Ubisoft organized another competition here, this time with Rayman Legends. But a Rule can dream.

I swear if Ly is playable,I'll do anything to get her and I'll pass allt he fucking game with Ly! You can't imagine the amount of times I daydreamt about Ly being playable in Rayman 2.
My idea of what figurines should be used to: You know how Nintendo does events and thingies with Pokémon? Well, everybody knows.I think they should kinda do that: Release the game. Then, from time to time, come up with new levels and/or DLC characters which would be only available for a some time.Passed that time, they won't be found be fount in stores anymore.
Or maybe they can be found anyway, idc. But I'd say they could release them as DLC levels and characters.
