Hm, that's actually a good question. Perhaps they're damaged, and the analogue signal is rolling off all luminosity below a certain level.

Why is the Dreamcast version considered best? Wouldn't it be Revolution considering it's expanded?

Some people don't like how it's "not as magical" or some shit, even though that's a bullshit point. It's just as magical, maybe even more because of more levels and I think environments. The main thing people complain about is the Hall of Doors which was pretty abstract and interesting - and definitely magical - but really? The Front shows a bit more of Rayman's world.

Hmk, think I'll give Revolution a go then. And while were on the subject: Rayman 1 PC or PS1?

Looking for some versions to try out. Would just go out and buy them all but le immigration keeps me from using consoles for months.

Ah, also pardon, I meant people were complaining about the lack of the Hall of Doors.

I think the level design in Revolution is gorgeous. There are additional lava streams in the Sanctuary of Rock and Lava, for example, that really add to the detail and scenic value of the level.

I'm not a huge fan of some of the restructuring, but in terms of how it looks, it does look gorgeous, and I'll admit, I prefer the more purple tones of Revolution's Cave of Bad Dreams over the conventional blue seen in all the other versions.
If only it were worked on a little more so it'd also run at 60 FPS (or a more stable 30 than we ended up getting.)

The PS1 version has some significant differences to the classic PC, N64 and Dreamcast versions, be aware of that.

Yeah, but PSX cutscenes can be skipped so it's more faster than n64 / pc

Hm, disregarding that, there are still many other differences, levels have been cut, or remodelled, bosses have changed, and I think the PS1 version is shorter as a result of it.

Looking at Haruka's walkthrough (@ 5:30)

Hmm, odd lighting the DC version has.

Thanks, master! On my iOS version nothing changes on lighting. The colors stays how they are. Or am I wrong and defenitly need to go to the opticer?

I'm not sure why they couldn't get the 1000th lum to work without glitching up in 3D. Did they just forget it's existance? Or where they to busy fucking around?

There are glitches in some games that amaze me to still be in existance, they're that obvious. The hidden Lum is not immediately of that category, as it's really a secret that not a lot of people would find instantaneously, but still, it's a bit weird that nothing came up in the testing phase.

Today, the PlayStation Store started to do sales for the digital downloads of Classic PS1 games, and Rayman 2 can be found for 2,49€ instead of 4,99€, in case anybody is interested.

I got them both on PSN but for bigger price long time ago. I usually don't buy Digital rereleases but Crash Bandicoot and Rayman were exception.
