I'm glad that the Press Kit version has got better quality, but in order to upload it to my channel (thanks for allowing me, OCG) I must wait for the copyright warning to disappear in May. :\

That copyright warning is very unfair :(
Ah well, May is not that far away I guess.

I just wanna bring up the topic of the world -

"desert of knareens" ..

I bought rayman 3 today for my ps3 and basically played it non stop up until the end of the DoK and every time I play rayman 3, i shake and shudder at those creepy bastards. They are so disturbing, tall, eerie, invincible.. the teensy cries sound a little different in the tunnels too, it's a very scary atmosphere. Reflux wasn't scary but the rest of his race were.

Does anyone else find them scary!? ;-; I've owned rayman 3 on all consoles and played 'em since i was little and god, they get scarier each time.

Meh, I was almost 10 when I played Rayman 3 for the first time, in all fairness and honesty, I found the Rayman eating Mini Janos from Rayman 2 to be more effective in scaring, though that probably boils down to the fact that I was probably about 7 when I saw that. The Knaaren make me jump, but they didn't give me nightmares.

As for the Zombie Chickens, yeah, they were somewhat goofy in R2 but blimey did they get creepy in R3. The unsettling music that plays when you're in their domain, and then the extremely tense theme that plays when they spawn, coupled with their more threatening movements and behaviour, definitely does make one panic.

in r2 when i went to the sanctuary of rock and lava i found myself on a circle of stones and didn't exspect something special to happen. then suddenly the camera changed the perspective, the music changed and i had no idea what was going on and then suddenly a mini-jano jumscared me from behind Q.Q

Ah, I know what you're talking about, that Mini-Jano didn't appear in the version of Rayman 2 I grew up with, which was the PS1 version, instead, there were two Mini-Janos which were much weaker than but behaved pretty much like the ones from the Cave of Bad Dreams.

I can argue the Knaarens were a tad worse for me, but that carrying segment where the zombie chickens would pop up did startle me a bit first playthrough, especially in the given dark area. And those fuckers never go away, but at least you can kill them, unlike the Knaarens.

Another bit that made me scream was when you hit a knnaren and if you do it too much, the game "freezes" and the teensies warn you what will happen, but it's all so sudden and scary! ;-; Also, wandering around the tunnels hearing "break his neck!" or something like that is horrid. I don't even know why it was rated 7 +, it should've been 12 +!

You know, when the series does horror or unsettling elements, it actually does them well. giving creepy environments and terrifying enemies.

Imagine a full on horror Rayman game... that would be very interesting to see, all taking place in the depths of the Desert of the Knaaren.

Ohhh yes, the Knaaren really scared me when I played it as a little boy (7-8). So I didnt manage to play further, but I really wanted to. Therefore my older sister who was never into video games (except Sims) had to play through some places for me while I was sitting as far way from the TV as I could. :D

9 rings? I'm feeling a reference, but I'm not getting it. I do like the irony of the Rayman 3 Land of the Livid Dead, it's possibly one of the most peaceful yet atmospheric locales in the series, yet its name implies everything to the contrary.

Y'know, a few games I had as a kid had Game Over screens which had me dash out of the room the moment I knew they were coming, some of them are still ingrained in my mind now. I've had my fair share of fears from the Rayman franchise, but the Knaaren weren't ever one of them, I guess I'd grown out of that phase by then.

Was that out of difficulty or fear?
