I'm in the 80's or 90's I believe, so I'm good about my score.
Edit: I'm #87, might bump up later this month if I feel like dusting the ps2.

Yeah you've always been just above me ever since I've joined this site

Hm, I was browsing about the Wiki, and I found something curious, this here is an official screenshot for Rayman 3, if memory serves:
However, this is an image taken from within the game itself, at pretty much the same angle:
It appears this official screenshot seems to be of an in-development version of the Fairy Council, doesn't look quite as defined as in the final product either.

You're right, it is silly how I never noticed that. Not just about the colours and special effects but notice the zone where you free Globox.

In fairness, I wasn't aware until I looked closely to the photo, at first glance, nothing seems out of the ordinary. Either ways, this area is one of my favourites throughout the entire series. I think it's possibly one of the most beautiful places that one can encounter when going through the big five.

I've never noticed the 2 moons. I've never taken the time to look at the fairy council like that. It's a nice view.

Moons and sky are more detailed on first one but everything else is more detailed on second one in my opinion.

Yeah well the second one is a much better image IMO, which is a good thing since it's from the actual game!!

Part of me thinks that there were some post-capture effects applied to that image to make the sky like that, but either ways, I think the final image is far better.

It has a much deeper feel to it , if you get me.

I was referring to the first in regards to the effects, the second is definitely vanilla Rayman 3, I know that the Wiki has a policy in regards to that.

Environmentally, I actually prefer the first, the grassy hills add yet another level of surreality and beauty.

Agreed - and the menhirs on the side look a lot better overall too. It's less cluttered and more beautiful thanks to the contrast of the dark shading of the rocks and the lighter clouds in the background. The smaller grassy hills make the reflections less cluttered too. And the colours are way more outspoken in the first one - that's probably because there wasn't really a lighting system in place from the looks of it, but it makes the colours clearer.
I only really like the lights and the resolution better in the final version.

I agree with both Ad and Droolie, for the same reasons pointed.

Hmm, I see the point you fella's have made. Still, it's a pity we've never seen much of such environments since.

Also, I found out why the Knarrens cutscene when you get the toungue powerup is sometimes in Rayman 2 style: http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2011/ ... 4kubwr.png
It's because, if you check Rayman 3 beta story, Rayman was supposed to have a power named Razibus. So it was before final product, and since they decided to put the tongue powerup, they just replaced the voice instead for remaking a cutscene... :p

Razibus? Any more detail than that?
As for the cutscene, what you've shown there comes from the Rayman 3 E3 Trailer. They didn't use much of that in the final thing, I think only the close-up of Rayman's eyes was used, the rest was the Rayman 3 model:
