With all these games featured in the Nintendo Direct, I'm definitely going to save for a Wii U and a 3DS.

Apparently the Wii will have its production discontinued soon. Wii will miss U.

Guess what is the collection that is passing in Portuguese McDonald's restaurants?



And I already missed the first week.

I only learnt about this 3 days ago, and this week I already ate twice to get two figures (A Yoshi and a Mario inside a pipe). The collection lasts at 24th October and I'll try to eat there twice per week to see if I can get 8 out of the 10. The other two I'll try to find them in portuguese territory, or else I'll have to purchase the missing ones from the italians in eBay (that will end up VERY costy).

Sad and certainly unpunny way to go.
Still, unless you're interested in the GCN Backwards compatibility, which proabably isn't the majority, not a major loss, seeing as the Wii U plays Wii games fine.

It actually plays Wii games at a higher resolution than the Wii could, and with the recent update, they made it so that the GamePad's screen can be used to display Wii games.

Indeed, though I don't think I'd play the likes of the Metroid Prime Trilogy on the Gamepad if such an opportunity arose.

Just came back from McDonalds and no Mario figures. They told me they already ended
They have minions figures only (those 1 eyed minions from some movie)

Despicale Me figures still going on? I doubt that. You sure it wasn't just that MacDonalds?

So what does everyone else think about Bowser's pimp-mobile in 3D World?.... *brick'd*

Erm, certainly funkier than the Clown Car, that's for sure.
Still not a huge fan of the 3D Land formula, it just doesn't resonate with me for some odd reason...

When will the Wii U get the Gamecube titles? It's been a while and no news of it.

Funnily enough, if you hack the Wii mode in there, you can use a launcher to play GCN isos in the Wii mode, so the Wii U certainly is capable of GCN support, by the looks of it.

@Master GameCube backwards interests me, but since I own a Wii I'll obviously keep playing GC and Wii games on it. Wii U is exclusive for Wii U titles.

Fair enough, considering one needs to do a bit of hacking, I can understand why you'd keep them separate.
