I'm assuming it is because you think that way too? Ly should totally stay with Rayman forever like Globox from now on imo.
Maybe not in every game, but in most games. At least, like Daisy in Mario games, the typical character who's always playable xD

Quoted for two reasons.
1: double entedre
2: true
Yes, Ly should actually appear. Probably redesigned, but still a Ly must appear. If not, then...
*le sighing*
Maybe Tily?
Oh wait, FUCK NO.

To be honest I don't really like Ly. :/ But I don't see why Ubisoft couldn't bring her back.
Can't see why they couldn't have Tarayzan as a skin in RO over that stupid Globray either...

I love how you said that and you didn't quote anything xD
And no,please,Ly or nothing, but no Tily.Tily is awfully ugly.
Now,I don't see why you din't like Ly.She is cool and gave you powers.I actually happen to prefer Ly over Betilla. But maybe that's because my first Rayman game was Rayman 2.

If Ubisoft were to ever include Tily in another Rayman game, a Pandora's Box would open somewhere in the world and the heavens would break apart, unleashing a plague of locusts upon our doomed planet.

My first Rayman game was Rayman 3, yet I still prefer Rayman 1's characters and style.
Dunno what it is about Ly that I don't like. I mean, I don't HATE her, and I wouldn't mind her being in Legends but, ....Eh.
What if Ubisoft were to bring back Tily, but redesign her to be not 'ugly'?

It's more of her Satanic theme in the M/Arena/Rush games which won't leave my head for months after I've heard it that made me dislike her. That shit really is the stuff of nightmares.

Well I've never played that game or heard that theme, so I guess I can't judge.
Anyways, I am looking forward to seeing what 'new' characters will be playable.

Oh ok,now I get it
If Ubisoft brought back redesigned cool Tily,I'd maybe like her a bit,but I'd come up with her being Ly's little sister/cousin

I released the Kraken by mentioning Tily, lel.
But yes, I do hate Tily. Her theme was annoying and her voice was just as bad.

It would almost be pathetic if they made Ezio a playable character, because this is supposed to be a time where Rayman is trying to gain his independence again.
Each figure should unlock a single bonus level themed after the series on which the figure is based. The Rabbid figure should unlock a Rabbids level, the Ezio figure should unlock an Assassin’s Creed level, and so on. It would be harmless (optional) fun. Making characters from unrelated series playable, on the other hand, would be ludicrous, and I hope it doesn’t happen. It would be much better if the developers would devote that time to making real Rayman characters playable instead. They can use another series as a sandbox for nonsensical and all-consuming crossovers, but that’s not what Rayman was meant to be.
Master4lyf1 wrote:Speaking of Electoons, I wonder how the cage mechanic will be implemented...will they stick to the RO style, revert to an older style, revamp it again or remove it?
The original game had the best cage mechanics. The cages were hidden away in the environment, and we had to work to find them. Origins made the process much more tedious by hiding cages away in separate rooms (which were not at all hard to find), and making us carry out the same tasks and watch the same animations every single time. In Legends, they should hide the cages in secret areas *within* the main body of each level, just like in the original. The world would feel more expansive and integrated, and the gameplay would become less repetitive.

And they should bring gendoors back, they were cool when they made random cages appear, and,as life system is no longer in the games,it wouldn't be unfair if you died due to it.That's,imo, what hard games are about: you died,be careful next time

Seen the leaked trailer now.
I'm simply amazed by what I saw. It's like Rayman Origins on crack, but it looks so fluid!
Can't wait, thanks Michel Ancel & team, for making my day so lovely by this news!

This summer will be epic for me: In June,E3 with more RL,then Spice Girls return and then Green Day concerts in Europe! And,right in September, first of the 3 new Green Day albums! I'll die this year!

I agree with RayFan about the cages, they should definitely be hidden in the level itself. Gendoors to trigger their apparition would be great as well.
As concerns toys and figures, I'm not into those things at all, which doesn't matter since I don't plan on buying a Wii U. I just hope that no valuable additional content will only be available on that console, requiring annoying toys to unlock.

I'm sorry, but you seem to be confused. I wasn't actually the one behind such a genius concept - as hard as it is to comprehend - but it was in fact Spiraldoor. Confusing RayFan and Spiraldoor? I'm sure said keeper of the cage concept will have themselves a laugh.

Now that there is also a really good idea. Since we're taking place in an ancient time period, it would be awesome to jump across the venetian rooftops and see something funky going down in the background. Maybe even fly Leonardo's gliders for one level, that would be nice and totally not too far out there for a crossover.

RayFan9876 wrote:Isn't the Wii U not being more powerful than the PS3 kind of... really, really pathetic? I mean I know it has touch screen capabilities, but for christ's sake, the Vita was just released and it's almost as powerful as the PS3. How cheap can Nintendo go?
I actually read interviews of gaming companies that were sure that Wii U wasn't as powerful as a PS3. The worst is Reggie also told in an interview that the new console would be more expensive than Wii in release (For Europeans, we must expect a console with a superior cost of 250€). I think it is a stealing, knowing that the PS3 is more powerful than Wii U, and I bought mine for 250€

. I also didn't like Nintendo's attitude of Nintendo 3DS: few months after release they suddenly do a price cut of 33%. Sure, they tried to reward "the Ambassadors" with 20 free retro games, but I would have rather prefered if they refunded those 33% in spendable money in Nintendo eShop, and let each one choose the games of our interest. I also learnt shortly after that the production cost of the console was 70€. As a Nintendo fan, I got disappointed. Now with Wii U, more than 250€? No thanks, I'll wait for now.

This. It is true that Rayman Origins tried to make the game less cruel than Rayman 1, but at the same time the Electoons got ridiculously easy to find in Rayman Origins. At least in Rayman 1 the fact there were very well hidden cages helped to make the game getting a bigger replay value and bigger longevity.

I have some unfortunate news regarding the music in this game. The track at 0:47 of the trailer appears to have been taken straight from
How to Train your Dragon. That song in particular off the soundtrack is called "This is Burke." It's quite ironic, since that's the only music track in there that wasn't original, and it was the one that sucked me into the atmosphere the most.

I really thought for a moment we would get some epic music that doesn't sound like it's from a cheesy family comedy.

^It's a leaked "incomplete" trailer, that's obvious. We all know that, I noticed it already and posted it like 2 pages ago.

Now THAT would be great

... I see that happening with the Ezio figure, the environment of the Assasin's Creed series fits perfectly with the new medieval-themed Glade of Dreams.

Geez, Spiraldoor, you don't know how much I want that to become true. That's what I loved about Rayman 1, it's the explorative mechanics. Rayman Origins works a lot like Donkey Kong Country Returns.

1. More like Rayman Origins withOUT the crack, this game looks more "serious" and less "dancing sausages". I'm saying it in a good way, this game looks amazing
2. Michel Ancel didn't want to make your day until E3, but some douchebag at work decided to leak the videos and ruin the surprise
