The Jaguar version is only good to play out of curiosity. It is easily the worst version of the game.

But at least it has pretty rainbow text. :)

Yeah, I made here a list from good to bad ports, how I see it.
  1. PlayStation
  2. Sega Saturn
  3. PC
  4. Gameboy Advance
  5. Jaguar
  6. (Gameboy Color)?

That's pretty much the only silver lining. :P

That's pretty accurate, but I cut the GBA version some slack, as they did have to tone the graphics and audio down so the GBA could support it. So switch around the GBA version and the PC version and that's pretty much my list.

I also consider the GBC version to be an entirely different, but nonetheless bad, game.

Personally, I love the Rayman Advance soundtrack a lot.

It's nice (for the GBA anyway), but I find the 16-bit CD soundtrack to be far superior.

So I share your opinion. But I find this one to be the best when it gets finished and complete:

It's my remake of First Steps from the Dream Forest, and for the purpose it serves, I need to hear from others whether it manages to capture the same spirit and atmosphere of the original. If there are any quarrels or criticisms you have with it whatsoever (essentially, things you thought the original did better, or that you liked better from the original), even if they're extremely small and nitpicky, and even if you have trouble describing exactly what they might be, do share, as for the purpose it serves, it needs to be perfect.

Hm, we know Tarayzan was going to be in Origins but was scrapped for unknown reasons, but I've also heard there's a Tarayzan costume for Rayman in Rayman Raving Rabbids 2. Is that true? Because I seem to be unable to find any sort of list or display of all the Rayman costumes for RRR2 to confirm it.

I've not found any footage of the RRR series costumes, hm, maybe Haruka wouldn't mind sharing.
@Emshomar, you forgot to mention the DSi port.

There's also Rayman Ultimate, never seen much gameplay of that one, but all the music sounds the same.

I would like to play Rayman Ultimate on Android if it's possible somehow.

I have been trying to get Rayman Ultimate working on a PPC emulator for some time now, with no success. From the one gameplay video I found, there seem to be a fair few differences compared to other versions, so it would be interesting to play it in full.

I can't even find Rayman Ultimate for download anywhere.

Well there are two versions, v1.0 and v1.1. I don't know the difference between them.

EDIT: There also seems to be a very old version just titled Rayman. It looks very interesting:

Isn't that Rayman Ultimate or something similar? It uses the engine of the GBC version from what I see in those images.

Rayman Ultimate seems to use the same engine of the main Rayman 1. This version seems to be Rayman GBC with better graphics.

Rayman Ultimate definitely does not use GBC engine. This is something else. I wonder how many rare Rayman games for mobile exist.

Woah, those screenshots are very new to my eyes! They look like the GBC R1 if it were more true to the original game.

I listened to that already and gave feedback.

I personally like the original track better, as the mixing is better, and it fits the theme of the game a bit better than Ad's more orchestraic version, in my opinion.

The Game Boy Color adaptation was very well received by critics and I found it to be a great game given the limitations of the console.
