No, I think not. However, following regular English phonetics (like there is such a thing) would lead me to believe it's [fowtsh] but following French would make it [footsh], which, honestly, makes him sound like a sissy.
But now I'm wondering how you guys pronounce it. Please tell me!

Even if his name was said, there probably would be something contradicting it. Remember the whole Lums Looms thing?

Axel - Ákcell
Umber - Umber
Foutch - Fôutch
Grolem 13 - Grólém thirteen (If I say it in portuguese I say treze instead of thirteen)

Just for a trivial moment, Axel is named Agagl in French. Agagl is the french onomatopoeia for the feeling of cold (equivalent to "brrrr").

Meh, because Agagl doesn't roll well, plus, Axel sounds cool (lame pun).

I did not say they should keep name Agagl, but why not localize name in English version to name that has to do something with cold, freezing, ice or something.

An old mate called 'Alex' hated it when people call him 'Axel' because axel.

I guess because it's one of those details that probably don't work well in English, having a boss called "Brrr" doesn't really have the same effect.

They could have called him Freezer or Cooler.

Like in DBZ? Nah, doesn't really fit in the spirit of Rayman 2.

I sometimes call people whose names are Alex 'Axel' by mistake. It kinda rolls off my tongue and I'm used to it.

That would work in Mario, just like "Brrr" would. But not in Rayman.

I agree that "Brrr" would only work in Mario but I like DBZ so perhaps that's why I like those names.

hahaha.
The PS1 version is easy if you're used to the shit controls. It's like you're forcing Rayman to go forward and he will go at full speed after like 2 seconds.

This problem is present in quite a few games, like Rayman 2, Crash Bandicoot 1, Croc 1 and 2 etcetera.
