We're about to get hit with a heat wave that has the potential to spike up to 40 degrees centigrade. That's absolutely nutty for the Netherlands. I think we might gain a kilometer of coast off of this.

This heat phenomenon is getting ridiculous. A few days ago the temperature here spiked to around 46 Celsius and there was this weird wave of Sahara dust coming from the east, making my dust allergies flare and causing me to cough endlessly for a day or so.
< would like to stop using <'s car, unfortunately < lives in a city where it's near impossible to get around on just foot.
Maybe < should take the bus or something.

It's a beautiful rainy day!
Seriously, coming home through the rain, I got to thinking this was my idea of heaven. Not sure if that's really true, but I just hope it keeps up, so we don't end up rationing water in the Autumn.

Rationing water sucks. Not that I've ever been through it, but some of my friends down here have had to.
