The plot twist is that it was actually a psychedelic drug the musician made to make Rayman hallucinate that he was flying.

"Whoa, man, I feel like I'm flying."

Ahaha, I'm guessing that's a reference to Rayman Randimation (2?)?

My theory is that a salesman sold the potion to him, or he or his wife created by themselves with the extract of a plant that is found in the Rocky Peaks from the GBC game, which is also localized in the Blue Mountains. A bite in a petal from that plant allowed Rayman to do the Super Helicopter:

No, it's a reference to LSD hallucinations. :P

...Why did Rayman eat a random plant in the mountains!?

Because the musician blended it with blue dyes and toothpaste, and then called it his "super helicopter potion."

Similar to how Tarayzan managed to give Rayman his "magic seed."

Nono, I meant in the GBC version, he just randomly took a bite of a plant and found out it could make him fly!

Well the text displayed after implies that the plant is unfamiliar to him.
Maybe he was just really, really hungry. :P

RibShark I really want this scaler in my Mega Patch. Can you give me any details on how you got that scaler in DOSBox?

I can bet that scaler is from DFendReloaded.

I used the SVN Daum version of DOSBox that comes with many enhancements. You will have to edit the configuration file a fair bit as certain things have different names (EG: pentium_slow vs pentium).

Has anyone played Rayman in ePSXe on Windows 7? The music won't work for me, even though I'm using the same plugins and configuration that worked perfectly on Vista.

I did and it works fine for me. Try to watch my tutorial on YouTube to solve the plugins problem.

Are you using the same image file? Corrupt image files of the game sometimes don't have the CDDA music.

In addition, I would highly recommend the XEBRA emulator over ePSXe. The game runs much better, and none of the graphical/sound glitches in ePSXe are present. It is really a much better emulator. The only thing is that you will need to mount the Rayman CD image with Daemon Tools in order for the CDDA TOC to be read properly.
