A third 2D game of the same style would give a derivate feeling to players, and that would not be good and consequently avoid people buying the game. I really think it is time to move forward with other ideas.

I'm not sure where Ubi's mindset is right now, they're obviously not killing him off but maybe a little unsure about invest any bug budget in a new game. I'm pretty sure we'll see another console game, maybe in 3D, and its sales will probably decide where Rayman goes from there.

We probably won't see a big Rayman title for a while, and I think Rayman Adventures is there to keep the fans happy (or at least the fans of the 2D games) until the next big Rayman game. I'm saying this because BG&E2 seems to be in development as the same time as Rayman Adventures.
Now I don't usually get my hopes up this much for signs of BG&E2, but there was quite a trustworthy rumour going around in June (the press completely missed it though) that BG&E2 was being playtested in Ubisoft Paris, including a description of said playtest that made it seem like the game was pretty far along already. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets re-announced at E3 2016 or, according to
this interview from a week ago about a huge (and secret) project Ancel is working on with Ubisoft, even sooner.
Knowing Ancel, he will take another "break" from Beyond Good & Evil after the second game comes out, and work on a new console Rayman - regardless of the sales of Rayman Adventures.

Well Rayman Adventures is free anyways so looks like they won't have to worry about sales

I'm confused about this game. I see some people already have it in test markets and it is currently a free to play game with microtransactions, which I hate. I read one review that said it might come out as a game you just pay outright for as the final thing, but I have no idea with the way Ubisoft loves gouging people. Both Fiesta Run and Jungle Run only charged for skins and there was no reason to buy lums if you just played the damn game. Well, actually the free Fiesta Run iOS update introduced a bunch of skins that would take tons of grinding to obtain so I gave in and paid for the lums in that case, but I would have preferred if they just sold the extra levels as DLC.
I also can't tell if this is another tap game like Jungle Run and Fiesta Run, but if it's not I really don't want to play it on crappy virtual gamepads. Why no Vita release?

It is not a tap game and yes I agree. Vita version should have been made.

Maybe they can eventually add it to the Windows app store then so I can at least play with a controller on my computer then. Fiesta Run and Jungle Run are up on there.

I would rather see game on Steam tbh. I would dislike it being Windows 10 exclusive from non tablet devices.

This was a fake, and the guy pretty much described the trailer of a few years ago

Hmm, it sounded quite different to me, but good to have a more official comment on this, even if it is sad. Still, I'm really looking forward to see what Michel Ancel and the team have in store for us next (and I still hope/think it's BG&E2)

I haven't followed the news much lately, any updates regarding the release date?

We don't have an official release date yet.
Actually, with the Apple TV version being developed at the same time, it will come a little bit later than we expected, but it should be released before Christmas

(Don't worry, I have a whip and will use it on the devs if needed

I haven't been paying attention to Rayman Adventures once I realised it's for Apple devices... I cba reading through all the pages of this thread, but could someone tell me if it's available for Windows or anything else that's actually affordable so I know if I can get excited or not?
Also, Incog, wtf?
