Weren't the old HUD icons the same things that were still used in the Walks of Power and Life to indicate how much time was left before a Time-Out?

I suppose this should be posted here.
While looking through the textures of Rayman 3 HD for PS3 today, I found this thing:
That's Rayman. Rayman 2-style. In Rayman 3. Shirtless...
... Yup, this is a thing.
(also, so many scars!)
Got4n and I also found some textures that indicate there was a volcano and a temple in the Summit Beyond the Clouds, which kinda makes sense as HHQ is inside of a volcano. There were some prototype Hoodlum textures and a render of one, too.

Hmm, wouldn't it have been easier to simply replace R2's textures than have to modify for Rayman 3?

Nope, Rayman 2 texture are in multiple parts, which makes thinks it's for Rayman 3, the shoes are in same place and all

One can simply cut out the torso piece and save it over the R2 one, right?

Not the torso, it's in like 5-6 parts, it's way easier to port it into Rayman 3

I agree that the texture would fit better on the R2 model, but it was definitely made for a R3 version of the R2 model, as the UV mapping is updated. But yes, to see how it should have looked, it would be better to try it out on the R2 model.

I find it interesting that, despite the beta (R2-styled) and release foot models obviously being quite different, they evidently contain virtually identical UV mapping.

I'm starting to think they leaved this for same reason that the Xowar secret exists, they still want to have some proof of their works, so they leaved it
as a trace of their work probably XD

Okay, so I'm posting a lot of unused textures (some of them might be used, sorry.)
Named ailtranslucid, don't know what it would've been.
Named air_pump. Probably an air pump (Thanks captain obvious )
Early version Hoodmonger Soldier as you can see in concept arts!
Named gour_body. Scrapped character?
Named plum_plant. Maybe Globox could do, like in Rayman 2, grow a plant with his weather power
Named wmelon_fruit. Watermelon in Rayman3?
Named flam_0X (X because there's multiple frame animations, here it was 6), appears in Desert of Knarrens texture.
Same as upside.
Again in DoTK, named kna_charcoal. DoTK was supposed to have lava too?
named dead_veget. Again in DoTK
Probably an early magic door for Land of Livid Dead
