Well, I'm not delaying...Night 4 - Lynch Skyscraper

Now what happened to all the trickery and traitors that this game had?

Lynches take place during the day. Tonight just use your night action to view someone's role PM or some shit.

All the active players are either aware of their team or dead. Hahaha. :mefiant:

I think the alliances kinda ruined the fun for people.

Yeah, there should be a rule against posting screenshots of your role PM's next game. It made it way too easy for the village to find out who was mafiosos and who wasn't.

There was a rule against telling people who you were...

Everyone just ignored it.

Yeah, the screenshots method totally ruined this game and was solely responsible for the Hoodlums' downfall. It's a game of investigation, not a dicatorship game where damning evidence is shoved down players' throats.

The identity revelation thing was also quite annoying.

It wouldn't have been necessary if the villagers had been given night actions allowing them to investigate decently, which wasn't the case. Also, this method wasn't sufficient to make the difference between Hoodlums and pirates, which proves that you still gave yourself away considering that I found it out on the first day :P

Enough dead talking for now though.

Villagers passing by the graveyard hear unusual groans, and as they head to the tavern for a couple beers, they meet one of their friends who swears he just saw the ghostly shapes of a frog and a dark lum fighting. He is consequently laughed at.

A better strategy for knowing who the mafia are needs to be activated.

Ok guys, I'm ending this game now for a number of reasons:
- School has started for me and I've got a massive workload. I should be able to play in any games that other people host but hosting itself can be hard work, and I don't have the time.
- A lot of you have gone inactive, which makes for a boring and uneventful game. Why did you all sign up if you weren't going to play? Those of you still here, thankyou.
- Hunch's screenshot plan did indeed break the game completely. Really, the village had already won on Day 1. The Mafia didn't try very hard to dig themselves out of the hole either it was an extremely one-sided game.

So yeah... the village have won, there's no point continuing this.

In Smogon Mafia (where I got the idea) there is exactly such a rule; I never quite understood the purpose of it until now. :P

Yeah, those of you who figured it out congrats, but you could've kept it to yourselves. :tssk:

Actually usually there is only one inspecting role in the village.

Well yeah, but there were two mafias here. While I don't think there should have been more than one inspector, the other villagers should have been given decent roles :)

As you guys already know, Matyuv and I are going to host the next mafia game. A topic will be created soon :)

Yeah but the Mafia are opposed to each other as well; they are likely to destroy each other.

There actually were some decent village roles, but most of them wee inactive. :?

Alright guys! Hunchman and myself are hosting the game this time and we hope this goes well. We've added some new rules which should help us avoid the mistakes of the previous game.

>> First Mafia game with the basic rules here

This time the theme is the French Revolution. Let's see how we change the history!
The game is anonymous, we'll be using aliases again, so the basic rules about aliases from the second game remain.
First of all, we need a list of players. And now I'd like to warn everyone: we have new strict rules against inactive players. Those who don't play at all will be godkilled and possibly banned from the next mafia games. Same goes for players who break the game rules. Anyways, here are some updates:
  • Days and Nights last 24 hours.
  • The players who don't send their night actions (even 'idling') will be godkilled, unless they inform the host they will be unable to.
  • During the day, members have to vote for either lynching someone or no lynch. If less than 50% of players vote, a random player will be imprisoned for the night.
  • The players who break the game rules (post from their main accounts, send night actions during the day etc.) will be penalised. They'll be imprisoned for a night or a day.
  • No screenshots. At all.
  • Small ting rewards this time. The longer you stay in the game, the more tings you'll receive. :-)
This doesn't mean you have to be very active to play the game, but you should be able to visit PC at least once a day and inform the host if for some reason you won't be.

That's all for now! The most important thing for us at the moment is to get a list of players so we can start working with the Role PM's. Get involved! :-)

List of Players:

Quickfist
Tobbe
PluMGMK
DesLife
Acarr
Rayman4321
Phoenixan

Rayman9930
Holy Crap
Xenon
El Dango

I'll have to think about it. The last game became a disaster.

Take your time, though I can assure you that Hunch and I will try hard to make this game interesting and balanced.

I'm in again. Please don't give us night actions that we actually know what do this time.
