It would be nice if the cages were a bit more out of the way this time around, so that the levels would feel bigger and more rewarding when it comes to exploration. I really don't care whether or not they are in seperate rooms or in the level itself.

Another idea I have is to give each character (or character 'type') one special ability that only they can use. As an example Rayman could throw his fists in the traditional way (which would be seperate from regular attacks), Globox could do a rain dance, Teensies could use magic to levitate heavy objects or some shit, and Helga the Horrible could use some sort of super axe attack. Now, each of these could be a form of powerful attack, but also be used as a way to unlock different secret areas. Some places could have huge rocks that the Teensies could get rid of with the magic thing, some places could have small tunnels that only Rayman's fists would be able to reach, some places could have plants for Globox to water or large wooden barriers for H the H to smash.

This could:

1. Make a real, non shallow difference between the different characters, without ruining the overall balance.

2. Extend the replay value for single player mode, as you'd have to use different characters to fully explore all levels.

3. Combined with the above idea of hiding cages further away, make each level feel bigger and more complex.

4. Be fucking fun!

Now, they'd might have to remove this from the competitive multiplayer, but that shouldn't be a problem.

The Origins soundtrack was awesome, haters gonna hate.

Still epic music, your argument is invalid

Out of the entire Rayman Origins soundtrack, only two tunes got stuck on my mind, and out of these two, there's only one I really like. Not that the music was bad, but it failed to get me into the game, unlike the rest of the series.
RayFan9876 wrote:I'm sorry, but you seem to be confused. I wasn't actually the one behind such a genius concept - as hard as it is to comprehend - but it was in fact Spiraldoor. Confusing RayFan and Spiraldoor? I'm sure said keeper of the cage concept will have themselves a laugh.
For some reason I though you were the one who posted this remark. I should have known better, there's no way you could be that right! :P

None of it even fits the genre of epic, it was all "bobbity-bibbity" music, and I'm serious, it's the exact kind of music you would hear from a kid-family comedy.

By any chance, was one of them the ambient deep-water music from the Sea of Serendipity?

I'd honor him with a crown. "The coolest of douchebaggery"
Coolest Douchebag in the world.

EDIT: Another notice, the last part of the trailer is Back to the future music like I remember the exact same music when at the end of BTTF2

Perhaps you could have tried to make that clear from the beginning. Now you're just being a dick.

How am I being a dick? That totally came from nowhere. I didn't make it clear, nor did I make it unclear that I was talking about Rayman Legends and not Rayman Origins, though I figured it was implied since in the sentence directly before I was talking about the comparison between the original and non-original music. As far as I'm concerned, the consistent teasing with "haters gonna hate" is far more dickish than sharing an opinion with backbone.

I personally loved as much the other games' soundtrack as the Rayman Origins's one. What got me into the RO soundtrack? It's orchestral, a kind a music I quite enjoy. Many games like Legend of Zelda or Mario in Mario Galaxy got into this kind of music...

I think it's just a matter of taste. Some will like, others not. I like it a lot, while I know Haruka for example prefers the music from the older games. Does that mean we're pulling our hair to proove who's right? It's pointless to begin a fight just because of different musical tastes...

Now returning to the main subject...I think the girl looks nice, but indeed I would have prefered to see "old" characters like Ly. This would have made way more sense. But still, we know few about the game. Let's wait for the E3 and see what happens. :)
Also, the "new playable characterS" was in plural. I really wonder who will be the other characters! Razor Razor Razor Ra- *gets slaped*

Expecting me to know that you were talking about the Legends trailer (which was very poorly implied), and then facepalming because I didn't guess it is an extremely dickish thing to do. 'Haters gonna hate', however, is a common saying that isn't meant to be offensive at all, and I didn't mean it this way either, so I'm sorry if it seemed that way to you. In any case, next time you really should make things clear before you call out people for being stupid or insult them in other ways.

Also, I'm not mad at you or anything like that, just somewhat annoyed that I have to put up with this.
