I feel for ya, there are a ton of Wii U and 3DS games I want, as well as some PS3 games.
I'm just sticking with Lost World Wii U because it's tradition for me to get a console Sonic game on release (I will get the 3DS version sometime though, especially since it has 4 player online co-op). Plus I do legitimately think the game looks exciting, and I might do a HD playthrough of it for my friend's Youtube channel.
ALSO I JUST REALISED THAT IT'S TWELVE DAYS UNTIL THE EUROPEAN RELEASE OF THE GAME AND I HAVE COLLEGE ASSIGNMENTS TO DO.
I should get as many of then finished/near-finished as I can before the game comes out.

Less than 6 days for Pokemon X/Y, and I'm sad I'll be missing out as I don't have a 3DS.

I feel your pain. I got Legends on the release date and I still can't play it.
At least, if my calculations are right, I could mark off several titles from that list by the time 2014 hits.

I was afraid I would be missing out on the new Ace Attorney, but luckily, when I introduced my brother to the series, he actually really liked it. He really wants the new one, so he's going to get it. I'm the one who owns the 3DS, so I can easily find time to play it too, once he's done with it. He'll be getting it near release.
Don't know what I'm gonna do about the new Professor Layton though. Maybe if my grant comes through, and I get some Christmas money (people usually just give me money for Christmas), I can afford to get that, as well as Lost World 3DS.
And if my mother wants to get the family a present or something, I'll just tell her to go with Super Mario 3D World.

Lucky you! Aaron Webber just confirmed that such release date is a typo. They actually meant October 29th. He said that they'll be fixing that release date soon. Looks like someone will get fired... ugh.
By the way! I'm here with a pretty great video that shows off a lot of worlds! Listen to the music! It's so beautiful!

Music is certainly very nice indeed, though it certainly has a different feel to it than other Sonic soundtracks of late.

I am glad they are now making music like this for Sonic games instead of Crush 40 songs.

Hm, I'm torn actually, when Unleashed switched to Orchestra, I was glad. Though I think having a balance between music types is nice, some of the Crush 40 tracks and rock tracks used in the Dreamcast era were pretty good.
(Still love the E.G.G.M.A.N. theme also.)

The Sonic Lost World soundtrack is composed by Tomoya Ohtani if I'm not mistaken. Same guy who composed Sonic Unleashed's soundtrack. I think he did some work for Colours too.
Me personally, I would like Crush 40 to come back every so often. The last game they were around for was Sonic & the Black Knight, and it had an amazing soundtrack. And to those who say Crush 40 can only do loud metal songs, listen to "Live Life" (the ending theme for Black Knight), or "Song of Hope" (a single they released to raise charity money for the Japanese tsunamis). Both are beautiful songs, and are really touching to hear if you're feeling down.
However, in terms of general in-game music, I like variety. Just make something unique for each environment. Lost World seems to be doing that, and I'm loving it.

The rock music Sonic games tried to introduce was, while received well by many, not really my taste. I've always preferred the Genesis games's music.

If you like the Genesis game's music, I highly recommend checking out the OC Remix albums of each one. Specifically "Project Chaos", the S3&K album. Absolute perfection.

Rock music fits Sonic perfectly, but I do like that the recent games mix genres instead of having just one. I would love to see Crush 40 return soon.

Project Chaos? Loved their remix of the Final Boss theme.

As much as I hate the English dub of Sonic X, the Cruises Blues episode is so hilarious it works out fine anyway.

That one made me laugh as well.
As for Crush 40 I never said they are bad, it was just getting a bit old. Perhaps in a year or so they could return.

Fuck you guys XD
That's a hell of an early release compared to 'Murica.

Yeah, it does seem we've been getting spoilt with early releases lately, usually it's you fellows who get that distinction.

A problem of the English dubs is that over 90% of them are terribly made. But I've seen surprising exceptions.

Pretty much this. Sonic series for me always had ok English dub (infact Mike Pollock and Roger are amazing), but the main problem I have is that not all characters sound good on English. Thats why I usually stick by playing American games on English and Japanese games on Japanese for the most part of the games. However No More Heroes really had impressive English dub.

Hm, I don't watch much Anime, but I can see where you're coming from regardless, comparing the Kirby anime for one, though King Dedede's English voice wasn't too bad.
