It's Christmish(TM) again, here with another friendly reminder to make sigs and celebrate the complete colonisation of the globe by Northern European culture! Have you been planning out your sigs? Remember, we only have until December the 19th before the competition closes, so don't be tardy!

Like last time.

To inspire you, I'll be posting updates on my own progress everytime I'm able to escape the cavernous jaws of the abyss!

Gee, today was pretty gosh darn productive. I've finalised my idea - simple, clean, in keeping with my current host's aesthetic - and would you believe I've got as far as the basic colours! Looks like I'll complete it on time this year!

Yeah, I've finished my idea! It's extremely complicated though and I wonder if it'll be finished on time

I have the whole of today planned out for nothing but drawing, drawing, drawing!

Guess who it is? Yup, that's right, it's Christmish(TM), back from the yawning void to tell y'all to make sigs and celebrate the seasonal mass genocide of conifers! Well I've been really lucky lately to have had lots of free time -

And not so lucky to have had to draw every-goddamned-thing with a trackpad -

- so lucky in fact, that I've got something to show you!


Nothing can come close to Juli Patti's masterpiece, but by golly I can try. Yup, I think we can safely say the contract is now sealed. Ho ho ho, looks like the nothing that consumes all won't be able to catch me this time! Of course, my work isn't over yet, oh no - there's the Christmas Art Contest too, and that is going to take quite a lot of effort. I'm going to get started on it right away!

I think it'd still be cool to have both Christmas and Hanukkah.

Hm, I think I would allow for Hanukkah and any other winter celebration of a similar nature.

I realised it will be the five-year anniversary of the SOTM contest in half a year (woo!) - will we be doing an anniversary edition shindig? It could include any kind of RPC anniversary as subtheme, say your own join date anniversary, the recent 10 year anniversary of the RPC (now almost twelve, no?), the 20 year anniversary of Rayman, etc..

It would depend how active SOTM is before then. I might just make it a freestyle with bonus tings. But it's more talk for the closer it gets to that date.

Right, I think I've got a concrete idea for what I want to do for this now, the execution will take some doing though…

What are the rules on quality? I'm not a hand drawer

Quality: made by you. If it's funny but looks bad, people may still vote for you. If it's 'sarcastically bad' or parodically badly drawn - say Matyuv's amazing skills or Bningham and Rulzez style -, people may actually like it more.

Just show effort, style, humour or something that puts a smile on our faces. Give us a reason to vote for yours as the best!
