I'd say hilarity is the most important factor (well, not 'most important', but you get my drift). Though artistic skill is sometimes appreciated more for certain topics, this is Winterfest - a time for cynical parody if ever there was one.

No quality restrictions at all beyond the size limits. There's also no "requirement" to hand draw anything, you can just do boss ass image editing to make a sig.

As for important factors i'd say balance is the key thing here. Hilarity does tend to be a key factor in it but there is limits to how lazy you can be in creating a sig before people start to only see it's lazyness.

As for my entry, I think I went a bit overboard. What I have now is an APNG (won't play in IE or non-plugin-ed Chrome) that animates at 30fps, is about 25 seconds long, and weighs in at 26 MB (takes quite a while to load). Should I bother submitting it?

Plum, I am positively wet with anticipation. As long as you don't use it as your actual sig, I don't think it wouldn't cause too much trouble to submit it? Serz can poot a link rather than display your masterpiece in its full glory.

Quick question, what are the size restrictions/recommendations?

Min: 200×100
Max: 750×250

Check the beginning of the topic - 250 by 750px max, 100 by 200px min. (Height and length respectively.)

Well holidays are starting for some so they invest more. That being said deadline is the 19th but I will be more than happy to extend it if it means more people can enter.

Has an entry, but it's 610x301, which is taller than the limit, but has fewer overall pixels. < will change it to 507x250 if need be
