I'd do my best to quickly throw up a middle finger and shove it in the camera :)

Nope. I also find it to be incredibly fucking pointless. If you want the best handheld Rayman 1 experience, just get it on your PSP or Vita, since it is the PS1 version of Rayman 1 just on PSN, it makes the definitive portable experience.

Sadly you can't deactivate, but you can always improvise by covering the camera hole with black duct tape or anything else. :P

I'd probably use Blu-Tac, but even then, why is that the only resort available? The gimmick isn't really harmful or anything debilitating in the grand scheme of things, but that doesn't justify having it enforced like that.

But Rayfist is right anyway. The PlayStation version is much better.

Hm, I think the DSi version is best if you want to enjoy the game, but aren't ready for the hefty obstacles thrown at you, it gives much more health and margin for error.

Effectively taking all the challenge out of the game, making it incredibly easy to finish.

True, but considering some of the rage I've seen at Rayman 1, perhaps such a stepping stone may be appropriate.

Mm, it's not that hard once you get used to the mechanics. The main thing I have trouble with are some of the damage boost tricks, such as the lightning boost and Mr. Stone trick.

I think Rayman Advance had a good balance of difficulty, personally, though, admittedly, it's not a great version to play.

I honestly think that the 5/10 continues of the original releases are more than enough. The DSi version made the game exageratedly easy. Was it really necessary so many hit points?

they could have included Easy, Original and Hard modes.

I personally thought nine continues on the PC version was perfect. Not too little, not too much.

Hehe, maybe not so much, but a little mercy is nice, the years I've tried to beat the game are a testament to that.
