Yes, it's a picture of the Grense Jakobselv Valley, where I served in the Norwegian Army. Everything to the east of the river (right on the picture) is Russia. The cabin is one of our observation posts.

It was one of the other guys on the station who took it, so I can't take credit for that. It's taken in the middle of the night with a very long exposure time. I have a lot of great nature photos like this from my time in the army. Maybe I should post some.

Indeed, you should post up some more of those. I lived around there as a toddler, and some of the more vivid images I had were fantastic ones. Northern Europe is a beautiful place.
