Okay, I opted for the new style, and lookie here, it's a lot better! Take a look at these two screenies I made today and be amazed.
First, an amazing screen.
And then, a little hint in another amazing screen.

Did you get the hint?
Note that the font ( which will get an outline so it is visible in front of everything ) and the ting sprite hasn't changed yet - that'll be done later.
And by the way, the quality of the screens is extremely bad - stupid photobucket - always converting things to jpg and not png...

It looks really great ^^.
Small question : what image editor did you use or did you pixeled those images ?

Yeah, it does! ^^
And I use Paint Shop Pro 9 ( back from when it was still Jasc and not Corel that made the program ) for all my images... it's the only image editor I can really work with ( I can do a few things in Photoshop, but not much... )

That sky certainly looks good. ;D I love how everything kind of looks like paper cut-outs now. XD

Thanks =D
And yeah, paper cut-outs are nice
Oh, and by the way: As you can see in the screenshots, Voltie's head can now rotate ( which was necessary for the
swimming - hint hint - animations, and was good for a lot of other things ), which was also extremely hard to do ( because everything that draws on the head are seperate sprites, and their positions must be calculated when it rotates ).

I can also upload PNG's without any problem at Photobucket, but I forgot to convert my bmp screenshots to png before uploading them.
And... robo-pirates... yes. But in the world of Rayman 1. Some of the things in this game have actually been "stolen" from the Rayman 2 prototype that was never released...

All the Rayman games are in the same world, there is
so much proof of this... -___-

Rayman 2 and 3 are, yes, but Rayman 1 and Rayman 2? I dunno.
Quotes from the knowledge of the Dreamcast version of Rayman 2:
After having created all the creatures who live in this world, a harder task remained: Creating time. So, Polokus went to the place where all the gods of all the worlds meet, and together they set about dreaming up the future.
... and a little later...
Of all the inhabitants here, you are the only one whom Polokus did not dream.
I highlighted two things: Polokus created ALL the creatures who live in that world, which means he would also have created the Raymanish beings, if Rayman 1 was the same world. And there are no other Raymanish beings in that world ( Rayman is the only one of his species ), while there were more in Rayman 1 ( Tarayzan, Musician, Magician, and other limbless creatures ). Also, there seems to be more than 1 world.
=> Conclusion: Rayman 1's world is different from Rayman 2's.

One of the manuals says that when Rayman first appeared, washed up on by the Sea of Lums, that it didn't take long for him to convince people of his good intentions,
and when he triumphed over Mr. Dark that there could be no doubt of something or other...but that manual proves that he defeated Mr Dark after his first "appearance", that is the time when some people think he traveled between the worlds.

That's right, it does seem like Rayman 1 was after his first appearance in the Glade of Dreams... but before that, it says that they didn't know what kind of species he was. Translated from Dutch: "What kind of creature can he be, he has neither arms nor legs?" and "Is he even alive?". But there are a lot of limbless in the world of Rayman 1, and none in Rayman 2.
Anyway, back on topic?

There are limbless frogs in R2, glutes and teensies both have floating disconnected legs, the Grolgoth Salesman is limbless, Joe the ET has a picture of a limbed woman in a bikini on his calendar, the monks in Gong Heights have necks and legs...
I reckon that limbless creatures are only found in that valley where the events of R1 occur, and that the valley is just a small part of the Glade of Dreams where R2 is set.
Yes, back on topic.

You'd like that eh? Well, they haven't been made yet.
Anyway, spiraldoor, I thought something similar: that he defeated Mr Dark on another island ( R1's world is probably an island because it has a beach, look at the world map ), so... oh well, my game's story is correct with the Rayman games anyway.
