The company's third name since RaymanZone's move and all they came up with was Groupee...I liked Infopop better.

Rayman's got a new mobile game available--Rayman Kart, since every action-adventure character has to have a kart racing game. Worse, the rabbids are in it...Come on Ubisoft, ditch the rabbids already...

That's the game for mobile phones, right?

Yes, Rayman's second mobile game. (First was Rayman Golf.)

The graphics on them are pretty good for mobile games.

I'd never have thought that Rayman would play golf. I have seen him racing, but I'd prefer if it weren't with Rabbids.

I think while Ubisoft is wasting resources on Raving Rabbids 2 instead of using them to finally make a Rayman 4, we could all probably say the same...

Yeah. They were a refreshing party game, but the series has grown too silly. I like the basic fun of Rayman 1, and the darker tone in Rayman 2. Rayman 3 had a good balance of humour, but there was no seriousness to the situation. And then, well, you get Raving Rabbids. The series has gone off the deep end.

Rayman 3 was too concrete overall. (Mr. Ancel thought so himself) While I like that Rayman Raving Rabbids did what Rayman 2: The Great Escape did for humor, more seen than heard, and what Michel intended to be like, they took too big a turn for humor and not enough for gameplay.

I thought Rayman 1 was the greatest.

You're forgetting Rayman Bowling

Anyway, you're right, they're using too much humour...

I prefer Rayman 2, just because of the darker tone, and the pure fun of the game. It was Rayman at his best.

If you didn't know IGN called the Rabbids more appealing than Rayman himself.
They also caller Rabbids 2 the real Rayman 2.

That's crazy. I thought that IGN were much better reviewers than that.

Oh, and listen to this junk:
Yes, I liked the game. Still do actually. However, I can see why a lot of Rayman fans were turned off by it. The announcement of a RRR2 just seems to be rubbing salt in the wound for those clamoring for a new, real Rayman game.

I believe that the reason the rabbids were combined with the Rayman franchise was for consumer familiarity reasons. I don't think it was designed to "kill off" the Rayman platform games. To elaborate, even most casual gamers know who Rayman is even if they're not fans of the series. Taking an established franchise like Rayman and using it to introduce another franchise to the gaming public is smart marketing.

Admittingly, I'm not a big fan of the Rayman platformer games. However, playing Raving Rabbids as Rayman is certainly a better experience than playing as "insert generic hero character here." That's probably what UbiSoft was banking on when they chose Rayman to be the hero in RRR.

Although I can see why the fan base gets so bent out of shape over the Rabbids franchise, I believe much of the harsher criticisms and accusations are unfounded. Rayman was effectively used to give familiarity and moreover, credibility to the Rabbids franchise. If I were a fan, I'd probably take pride in knowing that something I loved was chosen as the launching pad for another franchise that has gone on to enjoy a relatively high measure of success.
What the?!
First of all:
1. The Rabbids are part of the Rayman franchise first of all. UbiSoft didn't choose Rayman to be in their franchise, they created the rabbids to join Rayman's franchise.

2. You write.
