Well, seeing how I make 50% percent of that vote total, I may as well speak up. Where to begin on the matter... I suppose a simple explanation of being assexual wouldn't hurt to get the ball rolling.Xenon wrote:That's what I think, although it would be interesting to hear the perspective of those voters
Just because it doesn't fit you doen't mean you get to decide the rest of humanity's decisions.incognito wrote:I think that "gender questioning" is stupid, I am a guy I am born as a guy, for me that's all.
First of all transgendered is an incorrect phrase. Secondly I never believed there was a gender spectrum, until I met people who were all around it, they explained to me how it felt to be neither male nor female or even both or none at all! Their stories were valid and struck me pretty hard, if you meet these type of people and actually listen to them you will understand.Xenon wrote:A gender spectrum though? No, I don't buy that argument at all. Just like animals, people are born male or female. Transgendered people have changed themselves by making them appear as the other sex (which I will fully support them in and am glad that they are able to do if that's what thy want) but they were born as male or female and I find the 'born a man in a woman's body' premise to be invalid.
I agree lmao, it just went like this I guess.Imco wrote:
On a serious note... as much as I find this an interesting discussion, I don't think it was the purpose of this topic
As much as there is a close link between sexualities and gender I'm going to agree that the discussion going on is much too centered around gender/sex that's not in reference to sexualities (And yes I am aware I was part of such discussion yesterday before you say). Unless we want to rename this topic to "Sexuality and Gender in RPC" then i'm going to have to ask to stop the gender discussion unless it is about gender in sexualities.Imco wrote: On a serious note... as much as I find this an interesting discussion, I don't think it was the purpose of this topic
That would apply more to being aromantic than asexual, no? Sexuality acts itself out in sex, physical attraction, and trying to look uninteresting while staring at someone's ass. Dart isn't going to suddenly go on a porn binge if he finds a romantic interest.incognito wrote:Wait for them to find someone, once they will...Xenon wrote:Also, I don't believe 11% of RPC is asexual.
I don't like Wilco, therefore Wilco is a bad band that no one should listen to.incognito wrote:I think that "gender questioning" is stupid, I am a guy I am born as a guy, for me that's all.
Truer words were never spoken.Keane wrote:Wilco is a bad band that no one should listen to.
As long as we can harass jews, I'm okay with whatever this topic's purpose isImco wrote:On a serious note... as much as I find this an interesting discussion, I don't think it was the purpose of this topic

Whatever you use to define a person's sex (though it can clearly not be the hormones in your body, maybe you meant hormone secretion), my point still stands: a huge majority of people has a clear biological sex. Not sure what you're trying to say here.Serza5 wrote:Most modern definitions of biological sex includes hormones as well as bodies, after all hormones are in fact part of the body to begin with. So while people are intersex maybe in that small percentage of people that doesn't change the fact that even people who don't identify as trans are still born with a mixture of both "male" and "female" hormones. Of course that doesn't mean we should start talking in "I'm 70% female" my point is that there's no such thing as bodies that are purely male or female but are mostly one or the other (in most cases, with intersex being the exception).
I assume by gender you mean the sex people identify as; for me sex and gender are the same thing, though I understand that you do not necessarily identify as your actual sex.PrincessAmber wrote:Sex has nothing to do with sexuallity, gender does. What about people with 2 penises, are they double man? Or 2 vaginas, are they double woman? I get your point on most people having either a penis or vagina and that you perceive those people as biologically male or female, but I don't think either of those "gender determining" genitals are the only thing to determine a person's so called "biological" sex.Hunchman801 wrote:Whatever you use to define a person's sex (though it can clearly not be the hormones in your body, maybe you meant hormone secretion), my point still stands: a huge majority of people has a clear biological sex. sooo i guess you'd say you were homoromantic asexual? i guess? or am i interpreting this wrongGNineify wrote:I've realized I'm gay as hell... but still kind of asexual too. Girls are amazing and I love them, but the thought of getting too intimate really, really, REALLY makes me uncomfortable and sick. It'd be wonderful to have a girlfriend who respects that, but being in a relationship is very far from being my number one goal in life. I still strongly value platonic friendships over love and always will. I'm open and honest about being only into girls, because in a civilized community people will just go "oh" and move on with their lives rather than making a big deal out of it.
