Re: E3 2017
Nintendo did a pretty excellent job I will say. A lot of people will argue whether Ubisoft or Nintendo was the best. For me personally, Nintendo, they just announced stuff that made me pretty happy as a Switch owner such as Metroid Prime 4, the new Kirby, and that incredible Mario Oddysey trailer at the end.

And we've got a reimagining of Metroid II on 3DS. I don't own a 3DS, and if it's just a Metroid II remake, I might not be missing much. The gameplay looks like it's different though...

Re: E3 2017
I suppose that's why they took down the Metroid 2 fangame.
I'm interested. And with Metroid Prime 4 in development, I really need to actually take the time to complete the prime games.

Re: E3 2017
Whoa, it seems Nintendo did not finish the surprises: there will be also a Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga remake for the 3DS!
Perfect time to replay this game but in a completely different way.

You've still yet to buy a 3DS, why should I believe you would actually get a Switch?Master wrote:PRIME 4 CONFIRMED. I'MMA BUY A SWITCH. IMMA BUY IT.

Indeed, not to mention the money I have earned in the past is currently going towards my driving lessons. I'm keen to get a Switch, but I don't see myself getting it this year.

Re: E3 2017
I still have my Wii U which I've gotten a lot less use out off than I'd've hoped, so hopefully I'll have enough for a Switch if I can sell it. I probably won't be getting one until Mario Oddysey comes out though, I get excited every time I see it

Well, I guess with E3 beginning to wind down (and my Metroid buzz at an all time high), let us now partake in the poll. Whose conference was best?

Re: E3 2017
Very hard decision between Ubisoft and Nintendo.
Ubisoft finally showed after years that they can be good when they choose to, with the only negative point being more cinematics rather than gameplay.
Nintendo showed off some great stuff that make me happy as a switch owner, but didn't bother to show off any gameplay for Prime 4 or the new rumored Pokemon. It was nice to let us know that these titles are in development, but I'd rather wait to be surprised with some gameplay.

Ubisoft because of Beyond Good and Evil 2!
Re: E3 2017
Nintendo won.
Wait a minute I didn't see the Ubisoft conference. I'll take that back until further notice.
Question: How does everyone feel about Rabbids? I know we are a rayman community and I expect some negative opinions of it (but maybe not) and I can say it would be a fair reaction since Rabbids are bad.

Rabbids fan or not, you can't deny the fact the game actually looks like it has some fun depth to it.

Re: E3 2017
Yeah the only real fault the rabbid game seems to have is that it will continue the tired rabbid humour but it's very impressive both graphically and game play wise so I'm sure it'll be a really good game.
As for who one it was a toss up between nintendo having overall good games across the board against ubisoft mostly had bge2 and that one pirate game which looked p alright. I voted for the former for the mentioned reason but if I could vote for a winning game announcemwnt then it'd be bge2 by a mile.

I went with Nintendo, really just because I can't see myself playing many of the games from the other conferences while most of Nintendo's titles looked really good

Yea, that seems like pretty typical RPC taste, lol.Ambidextroid wrote:I went with Nintendo, really just because I can't see myself playing many of the games from the other conferences
(Although in all fairness Sony and Microsoft had sucky e3's, and barely showed anything new)

Re: E3 2017
I might be being a little unfair though, I've never been too excited by AAA games but then again I haven't really given them much of a go. I used to have that typical "CoD is rubbish Nintendo actually make fun games" mindset but I've sort of loosened up a bit recently so I might change my mind if I get my hands on some AAA/Sony/Microsoft kind of games that look interesting and give them a proper go

Re: E3 2017
I feel similar to ambi in the sense that when it comes to these conferences Nintendo often shows the more interesting and different games than the other conferences. Not that uniqueness is a must for games but a new shooter game that looks the same as cod or just the fine amount of sports games in general aren't going to interest me as nintendo showing off their latest Mario and fine different variety of rpgs. Point being I don't think I'm so much in the mindset of "Nintendo are the only ones that release interesting games" but more so "with the exception of a few games most of the other games fail to grab my attention".
Re: E3 2017
Sony don't really have anything like cod though; Spiderman and God of War are as far away from Cod as much as any Nintendo game.
The problem for me is too many games, especially Sony's, are trying too hard to be the Last of us

Re: E3 2017
I agree wholeheartedly. I can't deny that it seems good and the more I see the trailer the more I find it to be fun. Yet another friend of mine who is also a die hard rayman fan disagrees with me completely and feels whether good or bad that we shouldn't support them.Rayfist wrote:Rabbids fan or not, you can't deny the fact the game actually looks like it has some fun depth to it.
