I agree with you, but I would say GTA III was the bomb who shocked everyone and GTA San Andreas was the result of the optimized product. Playing GTA San Andreas with mods is one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had, that's a lot of fun. But even that, I can't decide myself between San Andreas and GTA 4. Most of the people wouldn't doubt about it, but I don't know, GTA 4 has that "something" that hooks me.
Nowadays I play GTA Online every week with my crew. On September most of the people will move to PS5. Not gonna lie, I'll miss some of the people I've been playing around with once they move to the other platform. It's been 5 consecutive years playing with a group of people and you finally become close friends with some of them.

Bump.
Any thoughts on this? What do you expect for the next game?

I would want something like Vice City. Or something like Fargo.

I’d find it hilarious if the next GTA game was 5 remastered

I have mixed feelings with the next GTA. I'm very curious about it, but I don't like the idea of this game being that expensive as their CEO said. He basically said that the videogame prizes should be adjusted depending of the hours of entertainment it brings (obviously focusing on the online mode). I understand they did great with GTA Online, but nobody knows (not even them) if it will be the same with GTA 6. Red Dead Online was a huge letdown compared to what it was supposed to be, and with these kind of excuses I visualize other companies justifying huge prizes because of that criteria (FIFA and EA Sports basically).

I think the classic £50 price tag should be the max for a game tbh

I'm certainly interested to see what the next game is going to be like. The gap between V and VI has been so long, since they were able to milk the online mode in 5 so much for so long. It was fun of course, but it gets repetitive then after some time and you just have multiple millions you can't do anything with really. I hope the story mode is good in the next one, that and just free roaming in single player used to always be my favourite aspect of GTA.
San Andreas will always be my favourite game, and I'll never forget all the times I wanted to do missions and progress in the game, but instead would just start blowing everything up and getting chased by the police.

It's coming! We'll see the new trailer on December the 5th. What do you expect to see in this trailer?
I'm personally looking forward to it. It's been 10 years since GTA V released, and I played the hell out of it time and time again. I remember going to the midnight release for the game, queuing up in a store that closed down many years ago, just like it was yesterday.
Most GTA games would have only a couple of years between them, so the gap between 5 and 6 has easily been the biggest one by far. Of course, they were able to achieve this by really hyping the online mode in GTA V and constantly expanding on it. It should theoretically make the hype larger, since the gap was larger. I will always buy the new GTA when it releases, and I will always enjoy it, but San Andreas is still always going to be my favourite of the lot for so many reasons, aside from nostalgia.

San Andreas is an amazing game, and it's even more so when you play it with mods on PC. I never tried the MTA (I don't know if it exists yet), although it would be interesting to see some kind of lobby for roleplaying in GTA 6 Online.
As for the story mode, I have high expectations for it. In Red Dead Redemption 1 I loved that they included both the US and Mexico so you could visit them whenever you wanted, and I'm surprised they didn't include something like that later. It would be cool to be able to visit a small location in Cuba or Puerto Rico. Besides, it's something that could be feasible with Lucía as a main character, right?

It's a very obvious double post, but I think it's important to emphasize this... It seems there has been a new leak of GTA 6. In this case, the culprit appears to be the son of the creative director of Rockstar North (or his friend, it's unknown who's the one responsible of recording that video).
Warning, spoilers!! The video is recorded with a mobile phone, so not all details can be appreciated, although it is true that the graphic quality seems superior to the leaks from a year ago. This could make sense since, as they mention, this development version, recorded in September 2023, is at least 100 times later than what was seen in last year's leaks. The video shows a general overview of a modernized Vice City. After comparing the images with what was seen last year, everything seems to indicate that it is a real leak.
The leaker claims that the fan-made map is real, featuring three large cities. He also states that, if everything goes as planned, the release date would be in the fall of 2024, although Rockstar tends to delay release dates.

I remember there being leaks a few months back but I hadn't heard anything else regarding that until now. Very interesting turn of events.

It seems the Rayman series isn't the only one having massive leaks on Christmas Eve... The entire source code of GTA 5 and the game engine RAGE got leaked on Christmas Eve! It's only a matter of time until people discover all of the stuff hidden under these files, but right now we know that there were at least 8 DLCs planned for singleplayer (in one of these DLCs we would have been able to go back to Liberty City!), some early-development photos/maps, the beta endings and some cancelled projects, like a GTA in Tokyo for the PS2 and Bully 2. You could find these files on Mediafire, but they're being put down quickly. The only way to make sure to get these files is using Tor and getting into a .onion link.
What do you think about this leak? Would you have liked to visit Liberty City again in GTA 5?

How much have you looked into the leak? I probably wouldn't want to spoil the game for myself and I tend to ignore even the latest gameplay videos and trailers for games I'm really looking forward to.

There's nothing from GTA 6, so in that sense there's not much to worry about. Most of the leaked content has been cancelled or is beta from already released games (for example, there are images of maps from previous versions of GTA 4 or GTA 5). If you're curious, there are lots of YouTube videos or redacted articles compiling all this leaked content. Unless the person posting the video/writing the article is a moron and includes content from the massive 2022 leak, you wouldn't have to see anything from GTA 6

My bad, I just read GTA 6 instead of GTA 5 in your last as I was thinking about the former after seeing the trailer.
