I'm pretty sure I heard of some codes or something that let you trade pokemons in the original GB one. Not sure about the GBA and DS ones but some are found here:

http://www.gamewinners.com/game_boy/PocketMonsters.htm

It may crash the game though, and I never tried it so...good luck.

Mainly, yes, but there are also other things, especially fishing in 3rd gen.

What's wrong with that? It more realistic. And, hello? in the middle of the water?!? (yeah, not very useful.)

On a side note, you know how easy the game is if you train one Pokemon? OMG, it makes it a breeze throughout the game. For the Hm's, you only have to get a pokemon that can learn, and you don't have to use them in battle ever. As for the Legendary, you can still catch them with the master ball. But you might not use it cause the one pokemon you're training is probably twenty levels above the legendaries.

This is something I when I make speed runs on VBA, as for the real games, this is too boring.

There was an awesome cheat in Red and Blue: Infinite items.

Take whichever item you want infinity of, and ut it an number 6 in your list. Go to the right side of Cinnibar island and surf up and down there. Eventually, you fight a WEIRD Pokemon, which is basically a pixellated rectangle, called Missingno. After fighting it, thi item that was number 6 in your list now has a weird symbol beside it. You can use it about a hundred times before it runs out, but when the symbol is gone and only one's left, you can duplicate it again. I did this with a Master Ball and ended up with all 150 in Red. 8)

Oh yeah, Missingno, #152. I had 151 caught and 152 viewed (it's impossible to get Missingno as caught in the Pokédex).

I didn't know about that glitch back then. It wasn't discovered in the early times of the game.

I had Mew on my Pokedex in Blue...before some son-of-a-shit STOLE THE GAME CARTRIDGE WHILE I WAS AT SCHOOL!

But I never heard of this Mew glitch. How is it done?

Also, in Red/Yellow/Blue, if you get someone to trade you a Pokemon that has Cut, there's no need to get on board that ship and have it sail away, and you can advance until you get Surf, then you can Surf around the ship, and there's some kind of truck there...
