I'm pretty sure they have a decent speed in the most prestigious universities.stan423321 wrote:Not in Poland.
Re: Your internet?
If you want to know your real download speed you should download a file of 1 GB and the average download speed is your real download speed.
If i download a file from 1 GB i hardly get any better then 50 KB/s

Re: Your internet?
Those results will be screwed up by limitations from the server you're downloading from. speedtest.net shows you your maximum download speed (close to, at least), but your real download speed willy vary, depending on what server you're downloading from (its capacity, speed limitations and distance to it), or how many peers you connect to and how fast they can upload files to you if you're downloading torrents.
Re: Your internet?
That's true too. But if you download a 1 GB file from a server in a real datacenter that most likely will use blazing fasxt fibre channel connections it's quite reliable too. But, yes, torrents aren't really reliable for a real download speed because most of the time the peers have different upload speeds...
Yes, speedtest has fast servers but the files they use to calculate the speed are to small to give you an good average because it goes so fast. If with a 1 GB file it takes longer then you will see that your speed will vary more. And that can make a real difference when calculating an average.

Re: Your internet?
There are no so-called prestigious universities in Poland, and if there are some, I bet most don't have reccent computers. Maybe with exception of Polish-and-Japanese COMPUTER School.Hunchman801 wrote:I'm pretty sure they have a decent speed in the most prestigious universities.stan423321 wrote:Not in Poland.
