I think that only the very first edition does not trigger the glitch, but once again I may be wrong. In that case, the 10th anniversary edition wouldn't work, but it would be great if someone could check it out.

Good day to the Rayman community here,
I wish to install Rayman 2 on my Windows 7 pc. After having tried countless Torrents (I do have the cd original but it doesn't "see" it. The computer will not accept it.) and every possible method to install it, even going as far as to view hundreds of sites to solve the matter, I finally came here hoping for a clear answer.
After reading the thread it came to attention that several people were able to install the game even on a 64-bit OS. However I myself have not been able to succeed, I hope that it therefor is possible for someone to explain this (in details and if possible step by step) how to install it and what programs are all needed.
The following programs are already installed to assist:
- Deamon Tools Light
- IsoBuster Magic
- Torrent Downloader
My operating system is the following:
Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU
E5300
@ 2.60 GHz
2.60 GHz
RAM: 4.00 GB
64 bitcontrolsystem
NVIDIA GForce 9500 GT
I have been trying countless days even months almost to get this game working. And it be much oblied if someone could provide a proper overview how to install this game. Many have typed " Download... Mount.... Install.... Put in Crack", however this has been tried (sadly not working) and whilst not the best computer nerd, these items are rather basic to do, yet I can't succeed with it.
Hoping someone can provide me with the info needed so that this game finally can work on my Windows 7 (64-bit).
Many thanks in advance,
shkkf

Guys, I think I just found the solution. On this (
http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/rayman_2 ... eat_escape) website you can find Rayman 2 compatible with 64 bit Windows 7 and Vista. It costs only 6 dollars plus you get the manual, wallpaper, 91 music samples and 12 avatars from the game for free.
Edit
I just bought the game and it works perfectly (I have a 64 bit Windows 7). Finaly I can play some Rayman 2. I think I'm about to cry.

I would prefer to wait until someone tries to finish R2 100% with that edition, in a Windows 7 computer.
The Pirate Head glitch happens in the middle of the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire with my disk when I play this in my Windows 7 Home Premium laptop.

Is GOG like Steam where you have to install something before you install the actual games? If that's not the case then lol sorry I'm not a Steam user by any means.

No, one of GOG’s main selling points is that it doesn’t require any special software. You download the game and install it – that’s it.

I think I'll do the same, but I'd like to be sure the pirate head glitch has been fixed in this version. Not to mention that
they also have Rayman Forever playable on Seven.

This is actually the only thing that prevented me from playing the game on Vista, because the patches just wouldn't work. I think buying the game from GOG is the best thing to do, especially given its ridiculous price.

I’ll be interested to see how they’ve named the Rayman 2 soundtrack, considering their Rayman Forever soundtrack, which was quite mystifying.

Could you tell us more about it?

I purchased Rayman 2 from GOG.com as well and it works just fine. Haven't encountered any glitches with it
If you plan to use a screen capture software like Fraps, make sure that the screen capture software is on the latest version or it won't work.

I don’t have time to transcribe all fifty filenames and determine which music tracks are associated with them, so I’ll just upload a zip file containing the whole mp3 soundtrack and let you take a look for yourself.

Thank you Spiral, anyway I just bought both games on GOG so I'll see for Rayman 2 as well. I have only tried the first game so far but it looks like we have the solution here.

I managed to get 76/80 cages on my first playthrough. Can't remember the number of Lums I got. Something over 800.

Then it means that with the GOG version, you hadn't any problems?
Which Operating System are you playing?

Correct. Not one single glitch has even occurred. The only glitch was the game lagging when I used recording software, but that was solved by simply upgrading my recording software (Fraps) to the latest version.
Windows 7 Professional 32-bit with 3GB RAM on an Intel Core 2 Quad processor.
