I love it!

I seem to recall once using a staple to power on an ATX power supply I'd wired up to something or other. The POWON pin is just the right distance from a GND pin on the ATX connector!

I still have the POWON connected to the console, so I just have a short cable leading to ground in the top of the connector beside the pins. I thought there would be no reason it shouldn't work, so long as it had 12v, 5v, and 3.3v rails.

On another note, I was making a component cable using the plug from a cheap RGB cable and a spare Xbox 360 component cable I had. I got most of it done, then only needed to solder 2 more cables, only to wonder why none of them would stick. The soldering iron apparently gave up working and cooled down, so now that's broken too.

At least I managed to de-banjax my TV-connected PC, touch wood…

I really wish I was. Everything is broke this week, especially me!

Now I need to find another soldering iron. The last time I trusted amazon reviews and bought one online, I thought it was great, until it blew up in my hand.

I had a Parkside one from Lidl, that's the one that broke yesterday. It has served me well to be honest, I had it for years.

I still have a lot of out-to-dated devices from 2000's: I have got a Game Boy Advance SP, a Nintendo DS Lite, Nokia-branded mobile phones, PlayStation 2, Wii, MegaTrix DVD/Console, computers whose operating system is Microsoft Windows XP, two landlines, a Sony-branded TV located in the sitting room, one digital camera...
I also have devices from 90's which are two PlayStation consoles, a computer whose operating system is Microsoft Windows 98, a floppy disk containing the operating system Microsoft Windows 98, two televisions (one is in my parents bedroom and another is located in the basement)...
