In the previous game I came third, but this time I haven't even got into the second round! I'm saddened...

Anyway, sending my votes now.

Here comes my vote! I'm disappointed and surprised that Xenon didn't make it to the second round, he deserved it! In any case, thank you Mat and Dedess for hosting this awesome competition!

As you can see, there were two ties. Until yesterday, there was only one, and I was hoping that the last vote would break it, but it didn't, and created another one instead. In fact, two ties is a better situation than only one, because I don't have to unfairly break them myself. So those 6 members progress to the semi-finals, congratulations !

Allowing tied competitors to both make it to the next round is only acceptable if the same number of users is also selected in the other groups; a contest in which some members are twice as likely to progress as others seems heavily flawed to me in terms of statistics. As much as I know it would have involved an additional round, I fail to understand why you guys did not keep two members per group, eight in total, allowing you to proceed to eighth and quarter-finals and therefore to come up with a nice ranking.

The reason I did this is quite simple : the differences in votes in QF1 and QF3 were important, so I haven't even thought of making the seconds in those groups progress to the next round. And I also thought it was quite exciting that way.
