Remember, most girls out there are unbelievably stupid and most guys out there are ridiculous assholes. :P It's an equal share pretty much.

Well then he's an asshole and he didn't deserve you to begin with. :3 He should have been happy having a weird girlfriend, it's good.

How do you know he doesn’t have perfectly legitimate reasons for liking the new girl? Think about the logic behind the assumptions you are making about him. You immediately sided with Drindrence because she happens to post on this forum and naturally gave an account of the incident from her own perspective, but you have no real knowledge of any of the parties involved.

The other girl being prettier is a perfectly legitimate reason.

Exactly.
And girls can be assholes too, just saying.

...I bet ten bucks that you just said this for the sake of arguing with me and not because you actually MEANT any of it. :|

You're right, I DON'T know the full story or whatever. Her post sounded like he went out with her, but dumped her because the other girl was prettier and stereotypical. Now I don't believe she's some manipulative bitch who's just pushing the blame on other people, and this thread is purely for commenting on relationship related things people bring up, so I just offered my opinon. It doesn't break the freaking law. If he ended up being in the right then fine, I'm sorry, but we don't all analyse things to within an inch of their lives.

...You know what, I actually don't want to argue with you over something as stupid as this. I've come to the conclusion that you just pick arguments with people you don't like just to make them feel bad.

There's no need to be so emotional, MLII. Spiral didn't attack or insult anyone. He simply pointed out (quite rightly, imo) that in situations such as break-ups, where there are a lot of feelings involved, neither of the involved parties versions of what happened can be completely trusted.

I'm not getting emotional, I'm just irritated.

And the way her worded it didn't help.

Why am I needing to explain myself here? :| I'm just pointing out not to be so surprised when schoolers get dumped by other schoolers. Personally I find it ridiculous that teenagers are "dating" inside of school. The only if you date someone, why do you do it? What are you going to get from dating in school. If people are so immature as to think "they are the one," then I'd say that's being ridiculous. Before you're 20, pretty much 90% of the time relationships don't last, which is why I really can't respect it or feel sorry for people when they're angry/sad about a breakup. What would you expect? For them to never leave you? For pete sake, young people are young people and should be able to live a little.

Sorry if I'm coming across mean or harsh in any way. No offense intended.

Of course I meant what I said. My post was neutral, contemplative and non-judgemental, so I really have no idea how you came to the conclusion that it was a facetious trick designed to start an argument. On the other hand, you called a guy you’ve never met an ‘asshole’ for liking one girl more than another. All your knowledge of this situation comes from the girl he left, so there’s no way you can count on its objectivity. She thinks it’s because the other girl is ‘prettier and more normal’ – leaving aside the very strong possibility of deeper reasons, how can you say for certain that the lack of ‘normality’ in their relationship (whatever that might mean) wasn’t causing real problems?

Nah, I'm not. xD Just being ironic.

Because you don't like me (you never have), and I've noticed a strong connection with the people you don't like and the people you argue with.

Okay, I have to admit you make some good points here. If only you said it like that in the first place I might have agreed with you.

@Drindrence: Don't feel bad about any of this.

While that is plausible, I think you might have just spawned a whole other argument.

You’re OK. If you have been keeping a list of people I don’t like and arguments that I have been having with them, I would quite like to read it.
MLII wrote:...I don't quite know what to say to this. Are you insinuating she's lying, or that she has the wrong idea?
I am insinuating that she is not giving us the full picture and may not even have it herself.

Not a list, no, I've just noticed that the people you argue with are 90% of the time people you don't really like all that much.
spiraldoor wrote:I am insinuating that she is not giving us the full picture and may not even have it herself.
She probably has a better picture than we do but I accept you may well have a point.
