The Twilight movies are so bad it's a miracle I survived watching all three of them.

The first two were terrible, but the third one surprisingly had better acting. I'm curious to know how the two parts of #4 will turn out, considering the amount of time they've put into it (as opposed to six months for the others). I hope it's of good quality so the series won't be utterly shamed into denial and shipped off to Omega 3 for Melvar to play with. After all, the books were decent. They weren't great, but they certainly weren't terrible.

A terrible movie with good actors is still a terrible movie. The shitty plot is what kills the Twilight movies, not the actors.

RayFan9876 wrote:Stories do this kind of thing all the time. Look at The Da Vinci code, look at National Treasure, they both made their own claims on secret organizations. I don't see the problem with creating your own fictional story that includes your own takes on fictional mythology, be it light or extreme. It's not like this is overwrinting the original profile of a vampire.
I have no problem with fictional stories that make claims about secret organisations. What I don’t like is stories that take established horror traditions, such as the vampire, and warp them into sappy, creepy love stories for teenaged girls to fantasise about.

From what I’ve heard, the books are atrocious; the ramblings of a sexually-repressed Mormon housewife with a feeble grasp of the English language.

I was forced to watch the first half of Twilight. Afterwards I had to watch dozens of classic vampire films just to wash the bad taste out of my brain. There’s no way I’ll touch that franchise again, thank you very much.

Vampire series/novels have become quite popular here thanks to Twilight, but I'm glad I never saw the film since I hear it is really bad. I also haven't interest either.

Holy shit can anyone stop derailing this thread? Thanks spiral.

Why the fuck some threads always have to end in ''This is better than your opinion i'm better than you piece of shit.'' It freaking annoys me.

You think turning into a great big dirty beast with no control over your own body is better than being an immortal Christopher Lee?

In all fairness, the premise of this thread is pretty ridiculous. Turning it into a vampire vs werewolf discussion with some Twilight critiquing on the side has certainly livened things up.

Nobody said anything like that, except perhaps in your imagination.

I'd rather pick the winged, immortal and invincible one.
