By 'glitchless skips' I have meant mostly skips related to tricks, which are not bugs - for example there are places where you can apply damage boosts (from enemies or their bullets) - this enables some skips in Bayou, Canopy and Stone & Fire. We also allow weird movement mechanics like backward jumping - so we can make Axel skip. Also a screenshot lag, which makes the range of bullets longer, is also allowed (it is not considered a major glitch) - so you can make a pole skip in Canopy. Maybe we find more stuff in the future.
I see, it's pretty much everything that feels remotely natural and doesn't involve any crazy OOB... I like this.
Also, I take it from markyard's run that you've renewed people's interest for the category?

Sorry, what is the screenshot lag?
In Rayman 2 PC there is an input F8, which takes a screenshot (and causes a short lag). This can, apparently, affect game's mechanics.

There was entire "blind race" with many people, which I talked about before, which major rule was no glitches - and it seems it has made the category quite interesting. I have also made such a run like 2 years ago, but it was not very popular then.

Has is it been proven to really make a difference, or is it just for safety?
And congratulations aulos, All Masks is almost glitchless after all.

Actually I somehow never knew that F8 for screenshots was a thing!

So F8 with it is slowdown ability is useful for run - in Canopy it makes the pole skip easier (as you need to shoot a pole which is far away - and F8 lengthens range of your bullets), and it also help to pass the final gate without bush (as in slowmotion your movement can be way more precise).
Aullos is gonna beat my in All Masks, I guess - crazy guy. And then I have to redo my run as well.

Slowing down the bullets increases their range? This must be because a lot of the game's mechanics are based on time...

Time counted in integer numbers of milliseconds even though a frame is 16.6̇ ms!
(I have put a combining dot above that six to indicate "recurring", but it doesn't seem to render very well )

It is, both on console and emulator, but it's not a very popular category. There's only a handful of Dreamcast runs published on speedrun.com at the moment.

I recommend using an emulator unless you have a good capture card.
