Yes! And I’m glad about it!
Good idea! I’ve never seen this video before but I’d love to have a little look back. I’ll give it a watch!
I watched that video when it first came out in 2020, it’s very amazingly done and also quite sad we did more to celebrate his anniversary than his own parents. Kinda like what happened with zelda’s 35th the following year
Unfortunately they are more attracted by atrocities without originalities such as war games and bland shootings and without magic ...Mawpaw wrote: Tue Aug 22, 2023 12:55 pm I wonder what the new fans will be like. I hope it brings in a lot of younger kids into the fandom. Rayman is such a wonderful series to expand your imagination at that age

You’re definitely right about that…as games become more focused on hyper-realism and only showing reality, an avant-garde game like Rayman is what people need right now. We need a way to escape into a world that is so far removed from our own that can show people that there is still imagination in the gaming industry.Dumbo TV wrote: Tue Aug 22, 2023 12:57 pm

But I think Rayman's legendary adventures will make them discover better games.
Lil kids still like those games? I thought they died a few years backMawpaw wrote: Tue Aug 22, 2023 1:00 pmYou’re definitely right about that…as games become more focused on hyper-realism and only showing reality, an avant-garde game like Rayman is what people need right now. I totally agree !! What is the point of playing a game if it is to see reality ? Isn't the characteristic of video games, books, cinema or fiction itself to create dreams, imagination?Mawpaw wrote: Tue Aug 22, 2023 1:00 pmYou’re definitely right about that…as games become more focused on hyper-realism and only showing reality, an avant-garde game like Rayman is what people need right now. I think they are also victims of peer pressure as well. It’s more cool to say you’ve been getting into a violent shooter than a game like Rayman, unfortunately. There was one kid in my school that I had a lot of fun talking about Rayman 3 with, though.Greengoop wrote: Tue Aug 22, 2023 1:07 pm Kids’ve definitely never have prioritised the best games, like there’s only a few people I know who actually appreciate rayman and other platformers more than basic shooting games
This is unrelated but can I just say it does my head in when kids say “rayman from rayman legends”Mawpaw wrote: Tue Aug 22, 2023 1:17 pmI think they are also victims of peer pressure as well. UUUUUUGH don’t even get me STARTED on that. When did Legends become his last name?Greengoop wrote: Tue Aug 22, 2023 1:18 pm

Well almost, I’ve enjoyed playing the deathspank series and socialpoints mobile titles when I was young, but nothing can beat the masterpiece that rayman is. One of my best memories ever was being introduced by my friends brother in his PS3Dumbo TV wrote: Tue Aug 22, 2023 1:20 pm I would like to make a parenthesis : there is a license that has brought you as much happiness as Rayman ? When my younger brothers annoying friends came round one of them watched me play origins on my 3DS and then he screamedMawpaw wrote: Tue Aug 22, 2023 1:22 pmUUUUUUGH don’t even get me STARTED on that. When did Legends become his last name?Greengoop wrote: Tue Aug 22, 2023 1:18 pm
This is unrelated but can I just say it does my head in when kids say “rayman from rayman legends”I really hope that some of those kids checked out the other games at least, though. Legends is both the shortest and the farthest removed from what Rayman originally used to be.
Does anyone want to answer ?Dumbo TV wrote: Tue Aug 22, 2023 1:20 pm I would like to make a parenthesis : there is a license that has brought you as much happiness as Rayman ? (movie, series, book, games)
