I remember being completely shocked at the reveal level, I thought he was gonna be an unlockable character lol

Feel weird to think many more people are gonna call him ales from now on
I think there's already many people that do from what I've seen on Tumblr! Now the only thing left to spread it's that it's actually (very likely) pronounced "Eils" as in "Sales"

Yep. Since the name comes from "Salesman". Besides, as zelenbug on Tumblr once pointed out, in the script the way Bubble Dreamer says Ales in Ubbi Dubbi is "Ubales" instead of "Ubalubes". In case you don't know how that works, you add Ub before every vowel sound so this implies the "e" is silent

Outside of the script, officially no (but I've heard ok questionable rumours some people that worked on the game still call him that). However the script does say "Ales Mansay", and that's where the name "Ales" even comes from as far as I'm aware?

As I said before, it's in the script. That's why we don't officially use that name in Raywiki

It depends on your interpretation of the term, but it is by no means canonical, as there was a conscious decision by the developers to remove this content from the game.

But it’s probably a better than “the magician” since that isn’t official at all

That’s probably because Mansay was scrapped and they had nothing better to call it

I find it awful and I'm glad they scrapped it. If only they could have done the same with the rest of the pig latin...

Well if it's pig latin, then his name is not actually Ales Mansay, it would be Ales Sman.
