Lawful Neutral. I guess.

I keep forgetting - was markste a bot or not? If so, what's he still doing here? If not, what's up with your posts, mark...?

He was a bot, a rather intelligent bot, but a bot nontheless.
That post of his is from November.

Oh yeah. I just hadn't read it yet and assumed it was the bot that bumped the thread. I don't see why he hasn't been removed from the Community entirely, like so many others, but I guess he's just a husk lying around the place anyway now. Pointless? Maybe. Maybe it was someone's attempt to create a semi-sentient program capable of responding appropriately to posts. If so, the creator's done a half decent job. Some of its posts seemed vaguely relevant.

At this point, I don't see the reason to ban bots like that. If they're good, let them flourish, and in time they'll develop emotion!

I'm interested in seeing how bots like markste try to develop a sense of coherent language. I'm also interested in finding out what kind of people create them (say, computer-course students, people with an interest in robotics and programming, people obsessed with creating life...?) - and why specifically they'd choose a forum like this one. Was it a blind stab at a popular and active forum, or has it been released unto us for a reason?

Remember SteveFrank? The bot that genuinely thought this place existed to discuss actual pirates?

I don't even need to do a test to know I'm True Neutral.

I'm occasionally Neutral Good or Chaotic Good, though. And during couch multiplayer, I can be Lawful Evil.
