It takes some time getting used to drawing on a pad. I'm still pretty much incapable of drawing straight, neat lines, though in real life, on real paper, that's easy. Mind though that I've been drawing on paper for 17 years and have been using a drawing pad sporadically for three.
I get the feeling the pad gets confused about where your pen is sometimes and makes these strange, wobbly - as you point out - motions when you draw.

I drew this today. Trying to get a hang of coloring in digitally. So I drew this Rayman and painted it in watercolor. How's it look?

Don't think I did. Well if your curious, I use Flash CC 2014, Photoshop CC 2014, and Manga Studio. This piece was made in Manga Studio, which I bought when it was on sale.
