I could, but then the thread might hang around for quite awhile. That's why this thread is flawed because it's solely reliant on people knowing the characteristics of the people posting beforehand. That's not going to be likely with people who haven't been around on here very long, or haven't contributed much. Or even if they have contributed quite a bit they might not have any obvious traits to imitate. So you're naturally going to get kinda half-baked replies like mine because it's impossible for everyone to know everyone in depth. So it shouldn't be a surprise that you get posts that aren't quite up to the game standard. But a game like this shouldn't have a high standard for imitation, because of the reasons I've just explained.

Anyhow, I'll refrain from posting in this thread unless I can actually post a decent impersonation.

Yes, you make a solid point. There are times when I'd like to reply but can't, and so it's up for someone else or the thread will be deserted for some time. But I'm fine with waiting rather than making a half-assed post (No offense to you, I do appreciate you trying to keep it going).

That's exactly the point though, it builds a sense of community by getting to know people. It's a game thread, games imply some kind of challenge to overcome. The sole rule is clearly stated in the thread title: pretend to be the poster above you. You don't be lame and change the bloody rules if you're a little stuck.

It doesn't even need to be remotely decent, as long as it's by definition some kind of attempted impersonation. Sure, it's harder than just mindlessly listing someone's bare traits, but that's what makes it one of the more interesting game threads.
