I think you need to keep your perception of oddities to yourself more often then, as your reactions to them don't really make a lot of sense. I think that it's interesting to know simply as a factoid that THEdragon hasn't played many 3D games in a while, but there's literally nothing boonworthy about that in the slightest, and your completely unrelated use of the boon smiley only makes you come across as a bit of an asshole.

I'm not worried about the frequency of your 'confrontation', moreso the intensity. For instance, despite your supporting of a valid point, your reply to MDFC with all those boons was far ruder and meaner than anything anyone had posted beforehand. Please show some restraint.

I admit it was a little stupid to create that over-boonified post, but I was just kind of angry over the whole stupid argument by then, and couldn't believe how anyone could blame the people getting angry over the troll, rather than the actual troll himself. I'll try to keep my head next time.

In addition, I just see the boons as just a way to convey disbelief, and not as a deep insult. In this case, as a gamer, I feel that theDRAGON is missing out on some of the better 3D games currently available, such as The Walking Dead, the Uncharted series, the Portal series, Red Dead Redemption, The Last of Us, Heavy Rain, and others that I am forgetting. Admittedly, I probably should have made a nicer response.

In regards to Rayman 2, I have started the PS1 and PS2 versions, but haven't completed either one. I stopped playing the PlayStation version when I realized it was a crappy port. :P

I used to play lots of video games (Mostly 3D ones) a long time ago, but I simply lost interest in them. :P

I think the reason I'm having trouble with R2's controls is because I'm used to using spacebar to jump and z to attack in Rayman 1. :)

Ah.

The fuck? The space bar should be standard in most 3D games. Weird that Rayman 2 is different. Although, as it is a third-person 3D game, you'll probably be better off using a gamepad anyway. ;)

Heh, I don't have a gamepad. I'm not even sure what a gamepad is, to be honest!

Console controller. :P

I would recommend using the DualShock 4 (or some actual console's) controller, rather the shitty PC pads on the market.

I used to have a good gamepad for my PC that was also compactible with the three PlayStation consoles, but since I bought it at the time mostly to improvise a situation some years ago, I sold it to give place to a controller that shall be arriving soon my mailbox, which is an official red DualShock 3 (second hand of course). The ergonomy and performance will be the biggest differences.

That sounds like it was the best gamepad ever in my opinion

Well, even myself got amazed with that gamepad when I bought it years ago. I found the price suspiciously low but it was what it was inside my possibilities at the time, and I took the risk. The risk revealed to be a good one, because for a controller of that price, it had a good ergonomy, excellent response, compactibility with PC and the three PlayStations and it included a turbo button. It had a good use but it is barely noticible. It is probably one of the best white brand gamepads I've ever tried out.

I'm tempted to get a PS4 controller for gaming when the chance arises, the PS3 controller really bugs me now, as my little finger has nowhere to grip.

I would like to sell PS3 controller and Get PS4 controller but I heared not all games are compatible with it.

Yeah, the PS4 controllers are longer on the handles and they seem much more comfortable on my hands than the PS3 controller, though the PS3 controller seemed to have a place for all my fingers to grip...
Maybe it's because I'm 12 :P

Yeah, the Dualshock was perfectly fine for me in earlier years, but as of late, it's really uncomfortable for me to hold. I'm thankful that Sony did add PC compatibility to the Dualshock 4.

If you are talking about that Mad Catz controller that I once had, then I would have to disagree. Pathetic joysticks and d-pad, as well as nonresponsive buttons. I was using it as a substitute for my DualShock 3 until I figured out how to use my DualShock 3 on my PC. :P

It also does not have wireless capability, which would make things a little difficult. :P I would also guess that PS2 games don't work with it, but I'm not sure.

Hm, I know the PS4 controller doesn't play ball well with the PS3, but I'd get it for PC gaming, which is something I wish to switch to in the upcoming years.

Same here. PC gaming has its advantages, including better graphics, but just like any other console, it has its downsides, including having a more involved process involved to get a game up and running, and poor controls (for most games anyway), so getting the DS4 is a very wise idea. I think of a gaming PC as another console, albeit a very good one. ;)

Last night I completed the Sanctuary of Fire and Stone, and I played a bit of the Echoing caves before I accidentally minimised the window. For some reason if I minimise the window of the game I can't bring it back and I have to close it from task manager. But at least I saved the game after the Sanctuary of Fire and Stone, so I'll try the Echoing Caves again today.

Also, 'The Echoing Caves' makes me think of the Rayman Activity Centre activity of the same name, even though they share pretty much nothing in common from what I can tell so far. XD

Ah yes, the minimisation crash, I got that on an old computer as well.
I like the gimmick of The Echoing Caves, you'll have caught a small glimpse of it in the Menhir Hills, but this is where it shines as a pretty decent level mechanic, pity they didn't really use it that much.

The game crashes if I try to change the resolution. The texture, resolution, I think.
