Joking.
You meant Wii U? oh... yeh... the concept of Wii U has been taken before, right? the asymmetrical gameplay, I mean... it's not new at all. Though I must accept the new ways how they're using the exclusive screen are pretty imaginative. I'm still waiting for Made in Wario like crazy.Adsolution wrote:A guy from the Assembler forums (which I'm also on) made it.
I truly don't see what, aside from the touch pad on the PS4 controller, is a good idea. The Wii is the only remotely original new console as it seems now, but tht along won't save it.
In fact we talked about this before. One of the main concepts from Nintendo Land was basically taken from a Pacman game for gamecube that could connect with a gameboy advance.Adsolution wrote:The concept of the Wii U isn't remotely original; it's a DS + Wii, but at least that's something, and the motion controls aren't so in-your-face anymore.

That is entirely an opinion. Coming from someone who loves stylised games and is heavily invested in 3D graphics, I personally think that the early screenshots of the Wind Waker remake looked quite... bad, oversaturated in bloom, and the character models looked like glass. Is this bad? No, it's a prototype, the end result will likely be much better, but the fact that you're comparing a virtually day-one prototype to a fully fleshed-out game tells me that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.Keane wrote:Take a look at Nintendo Land or the upcoming Wind Waker remake. It goes without saying that while they're not on a console that makes anyone go wowing for the graphics, they still look so much better than the average FPS game.
No he wasn't, he himself lightly stated that every game designer has something they enjoy creating, and he prefers to create worlds that people "don't normally experience." Your comprehension couldn't be more dreadfully backwards, so much so that reading through your vapid dreck would be comparable to peeling the skin of an onion, if I were said onion.Keane wrote:Miyamoto was once asked why he dislikes realistic games so much
You do realise that there are some who prefer playing games that exhibit realism as opposed to utter fantastic escapism? Either you don't realise that, or you were reinforcing Miyamoto's goal, making your statement the single most god damn puerile thing I have read in my life.Keane wrote:And nothing could ever be more true than that.
Yes mhmAdsolution wrote:pealing the skin of an onion
Funny how this time the typo is the reverse.Adsolution wrote:I think you're being a total fool. Let's dive right into this, shall we?

Nintendo Land is indeed colourful but I didn't experience any seizures so far. I didn't know you also suffer of those.Adsolution wrote:Nintendo Land looks alright graphically, but there's nothing that stands about it, it's just super colourful to the point of annoying my eyes. I'm epileptic though, so I suppose I can attempt to brush that aside.
Well, the game is not THAT colourful, but if you're epileptic, hm... I guess that explains everything. The main plaza must be painful for you, it has bright colours and a lot of shiny effects. Metroid Blast had a pretty decent colour palette, tho.Adsolution wrote:Nintendo Land looks alright graphically, but there's nothing that stands about it, it's just super colourful to the point of annoying my eyes. I got a star on every attraction. It's hard, but getting all of the stamps is even harder. You should try Octopus Dance, it's easy when you practice a lot, and the bonus level that you get after winning for a second time seems to be the only one that actually takes approach of the gamepad. If I'm right, to get a star on multiplayer games like mario chase you must play them 10 times with friends.Haruka wrote:It reminds me I should try to complete other challenges. So far I only managed to get a star in DKCC and YFC.
On what point, exactly?sergiomonty wrote:I kind of agree with Keane...
Yes, but not in the way Keane conveyed it. Even still, that has absolutely nothing to do with anything.sergiomonty wrote:and indeed, Miyamoto did say that.
No he didn't, not in the slightest. It's almost like you and Keane are then stating that graphics will be unable to improve past, beyond the point of Crysis 3. Yes, the game is probably one of the best looking games to have ever been released, but until perfect photorealism is achieved (which we are nowhere close to), whatever 'point' you're trying to make is completely false.sergiomonty wrote:Keane made a point there, tho..
There's nothing for it to explain, so it doesn't explain anything.sergiomonty wrote:hm... I guess that explains everything.
Yes, I tend to run around that area with one eye closed and the other one squinting. This is an example of a game that is just a bit too needlessly colourful, as if they're shoving a set of paints in your face and shouting "HERE, COLOUR, LOOK!!!" - But at the very least, too much colour is better than our 75% bluefiltered companion Battlefield 3. It does look fairly nice, but I think it would have been a lot nicer with a bit of a toned down atmosphere in places.sergiomonty wrote:The main plaza must be painful for you, it has bright colours and a lot of shiny effects.
Read the whole thing before making multi-quotes, then you'll see. Probably you did already, so now you know it's about graphics.Adsolution wrote:On what point, exactly?sergiomonty wrote:I kind of agree with Keane...
Sure... but what about Metal Gear Ground Zeroes, as I said before? my example was considerably better and you just seemed to fully ignore it.Adsolution wrote:No he didn't, not in the slightest. As I said before, the game was colourful, but I never experience oversaturation like I did with the boxart of Mario Party 9 or games like LocoRocco.Adsolution wrote:"HERE, COLOUR, LOOK!!!" - But at the very least, too much colour is better than our 75% bluefiltered companion Battlefield 3.
Agreed.Keane wrote:everybody needs to stop being pathetic.
I don't know about oversaturation on the LocoRoco boxart, personally I didn't really see that.sergiomonty wrote:I never experience oversaturation like I did with the boxart of Mario Party 9 or games like LocoRocco.
